Her Window

by Queen of Pascalities

Sakura was freezing. Her teeth were chattering, her lips had turned purple and she was covered in goose bumps. She knew it wasn't a good idea to sleep with her window open, especially in the middle of the cold season.

But still, every night, she opened it.

She was bundled up in her covers, seeking some warmth. When she convinced herself there was no use, she got up, trying to walk without falling because of her trembling, and went to get another blanket. She climbed back into bed and rolled up in all the four layers of warmth she had gathered.

She knew it was stupid, in a way, to leave her window open the whole night. She knew she could catch pneumonia or laryngitis. She knew insects could get inside. She knew anyone could get inside. She knew she could get kidnapped.

But every night, she opened her window.

Because she knew he was there.

Sasuke knew he shouldn't be walking around in the village. There were so many people that hated him. He still hadn't officially returned from Orochimaru's lair. He only came to the village to see if it was safe for him to come back. He knew he should never stay for too long, especially in the middle of the night.

But still, every night, he sat there.

He knew it was stupid, in a way, to come back to the village without anyone knowing. He knew he could be seen, ambushed and killed. He knew he could wake up someone and be detected. He knew not many people would let him live if they found out.

But every night, he sat there.

Every night, he sat on Sakura's window sill.

Because she left her window open for him.

A/N: I seem to be writing a lot of useless stuff that turns out to be really cheesy and not very good, recently.

This was written on a whim and didn't take me more than fifteen minutes to do, so it's perfectly normal if you think it sucks. Just don't tell me.

Review if you want.

The updates on my current long stories will be up soon.
