A Quittage Pitch, a moon and a Gentleman
"Hey, Lils- what is your perfect date?" Madison asked.
"What?" Lily asked bemused.
Lily, Madison, Sirius and Remus were all in the common room.
"You heard me! What is your perfect date?"
Lily smiled. Madison was so random. "Okay. Um- at night. A warm night at Hogwarts. And the moon would be shinning." Lily finished.
"Hopefully not a full moon!" Remus cut in. They all laughed.
"No, no definitely not." Lily replied.
"Go on." Sirius nudged.
"Okay- a moon, Hogwarts and nighttime- what else?" Remus said.
"A gentleman and the Quittage pitch." Lily finalized.
"The pitch?" they all asked confused.
"You don't play!" Madison reasoned.
"I know! It's just a feeling I guess."
"O-kay." Sirius said skeptically.
"So, Lily- why are you here?" Remus asked.
"I don't know." Lily replied.
With that Lily set off out of the common room to the Quittage Pitch to find her gentleman.
Lily walked across the grounds of Hogwarts, she stopped as she came to the Quittage Pitch. She stopped and smiled at the sight. James Potter was riding his new polished broom.
Lily took a seat in the Gryffindor stands. She just sat and watched James fly around. She didnt dare bother him- because this was his think time. After a few laps around the pitch, James came to talk to Lily.
"Hey. What are you doing here?" He asked out of breath.
"Well- there's a moon, and Hogwarts." She concluded.
He looked at her as if she was crazy. "Okay."
There was a long silence. "Hey Lils- are you afraid of heights?" He asked out of nowhere.
"Kind of- why?" She asked.
"Hop on." He said.
"What?" She asked. She had no clue to what he meant. His broom? Why would he want me on his broom?
"Come on! I'm going to take you for a ride." It's not like I'm really going to say no. Lily thought. James moved back so Lily had a place to sit. She hesitantly came on in front of him. He put his arm around her waist. Lily had to admit- it was really nice to have James so close. James steered his broom higher and higher. She really started to freak out. Lily hated flying- but now she loved it.
"Hey Lily- look up." James whispered into her ear. Lily did as she was told, and looked up. James had taken her up to see the perfect sight of the moon. Lily gasped, it was beautiful.
"Beautiful isn't it?" James asked.
"Takes my breath away." Lily answered. She turned to look at James. He closed his eyes and leaned forward. She was kissing James Potter- James Potter. After a moment they pulled back.
"Hogwarts, a moon, the pitch, and the perfect gentleman." Lily smiled. She gazed back at the moon.
"Yeah- about that." James asked. Lily just laughed and enjoyed the view with her perfect gentleman, which happened to be James Potter.
