Ireland the Emerald Isle fought many bloody wars

While trying to bring Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland together

Far more than the Americas who were trying to bring the South and North

It took a lot of tugging and pulling but the Americans got their act together

And they won the civil war finally joining the North and South together

The Northers cheered and hollered about their victory

While the South hung their heads down low refusing to look any Northern in the eye to admit their defeat

It took a lot of revolutionary men and women of Ireland

To make a lot of noise stirring up a lot of fuss

For their fellow Irishmen and Irish women and even Irish children

To do something about English British rule after all they've been ruling for the last 700 bloody years

After many gruesome bloody murders of Irish men, women and children; young, old and everything in between

All too ensure that Ireland stayed under British rule

But the Irish people weren't afraid of the English anymore

They saw them as weaklings even with all the power they had and all the arms they had

They would rather die by the hand of the British whatever why they saw fit; because they were going to protect the land they loved

But the Irish men women and children perseveres and that good old Irish determination won in the end

Which caused the British to admit defeat but that doesn't mean they left emptied hand

The English handed Michael Collins 26 counties but the English kept the remaining six

Ireland is nothing like America driving on forever till you see a sign to make sure your going the right way

You're sure to get lost your first time around

I am sure everyone did I mean all the roads look the same it's like a god damn maze

It's sure to cause a lot of headaches and definitely cause a lot of fights

And another thing the houses are so far apart in every county

But when you start driving through the county of Fermanagh

You start to notice some changes in the road signs instead of black and yellow

The same color as those blasted annoying bumblebees

Their gray and black now tell me what comparisons you can make with that

Hopefully it's not a Diet Coke can

America is enriched in history compared to Ireland

The Americans are proud after all their hard work payed off as to America is now

Shouldn't Ireland be to instead of all this wishy washy turmoil that they are in now

Ireland seems to be the country everyone overlook I don't why

It's rich in history and a lot of bloody wars were won and lost

Sure this poem I wrote will poke someone's interest and they will give the Emerald Isle a look
