A/N: I should be writing an English paper. But where's the fun in that? Anywho… My mom and I were playing with Silly Putty and this silly little idea emerged. I do not own anyone. Read and Review, please. ~Sherlocked Gallifreyan.
Amy was dragged from her sleep by shrieks of laughter coming from somewhere in the TARDIS. She glanced over at Rory, who was still sleeping. She decided he could sleep through near about anything. She lay back down and tried to fall back asleep.
But to no avail. The shrieks continued. Amy, muttering darkly under her breath, slipped out of bed and shuffled toward the sound. The TARDIS aided her, shifting corridors and leading her quickly to the room apparently shared by River and the Doctor. She flung herself back as something nearly hit her in the face. The Doctor and River scrambled after whatever this mystery object was, tripping over each other and laughing.
"What are you doing?" she demanded. She was, of course, ignored as the Doctor caught the object and held it over River's head, teasing her. Grinning madly, the Doctor threw what appeared to be a pink ball at the far wall. The ball ricocheted off the walls, floor, ceiling, bed, dressers, and whatever else it could find. Again, the mad race to get the ball began. This time, River won the ball and threw it before the Doctor could take it from her.
As it came close to her, Amy snatched the ball out of the air. The Doctor and River looked over at her in surprise. "Amy!" the Doctor said, still smiling.
"What are you doing?" she demanded again, before either could say anything more.
"Playing with Silly Putty!" the Doctor said. "It bounces!" He seemed very excited by the prospect, bouncing slightly in place as he spoke.
"At two in the morning?" she asked, still upset about being woken up by their antics.
"We're sorry if we woke you," River said sweetly. She nudged the Doctor in the ribs with her elbow. "And we are sorry."
"Of course we are," the Doctor said with a slight grin. "Yes, we are very sorry." He managed to wipe the grin from his face and look serious.
"Good," Amy said imperiously. "And good night, you two." With that, she chucked the little pink ball at the wall and walked back to her room, shaking her head in amusement. She crawled back into bed and snuggled up against Rory.
