Chapter 1- Hiding

Shh. No talking now. We've got to stay quiet before he finds us. He finds us now and it's all over. He'll shout because we ran away again. Away from it all, away from the reapings and the Games. Away from the eccentric capitol with their strange faces and even stranger accents. The ones that took Clip. They called his name as I looked on behind mummy's skirt and then they took him away. I never saw him again and mummy said that the capitol killed him but I know that a girl from district 3 electrocuted him. I don't blame her for killing my older brother, mummy wouldn't allow that, oh no. I blame the capitol for organizing these stupid 'Games'. After Clip died daddy went through a phase of what mummy called 'depression' but now he's just angry all the time and drinks alot of white stuff that smells bad, he drinks it all the time and it really worries me and mummy espicially when he gets violent. Thats why I'm hiding now. Because daddy's been on the white stuff and is in a violent mood. So shh. Quiet now. Otherwise he'll find us.
