"Go, go, go!" I scream at my team, running up the stairs of Casphr High School to the roof. Due to ghost activity, the school has evacuated and thousands of people have surrounded the school wondering what was going on. I kicked the door open, and saw the one and only "hero" Danny Phantom sitting on the ledge of the roof.
"What are you doing?" I asked. "Ghost, I command you look at me!"
I knew what he was doing, dragging a razor down in arms, and not paying any mind to me or anyone else, but I supposed my mother instincts won over my ghost instincts. "Phantom stop doing that, your hurting yourself." I place my gun on the floor slowly walking towards him, unsure what I should do. They don't have a 'Teenage Ghost Parenting 101' book to look at.
After looking over my opinions, I decided talking wasn't going to make him stop, and his blood was beginning to stain the brick wall of the school building. The green and red blood, that covered his hands, quickly running down his arms.
So, I jumped him.
He's quite strong, but like this he wasn't. I pushed him down and he fell, face first, which cause the right side of his face to prickle blood on the rough concrete. Still sitting on top of him, I waited for a reaction. But it was still silence, but Phantom seem to be staring at something, like my son, Danny, would do when he would pretend he wasn't listening to me.
"Kill me." I heard after about five minutes of silence.
"What?"
"I said; kill me before I kill myself." Phantom repeated.
I got off of him and pulled him up so that we were standing face to face. "Phantom, please don't do this to yourself. I don't know your story of what you have been through, but you're just a boy." I said.
Phantom smiled. I return the smile, "You're just a boy." I repeated, which was true, he was probably no older than 15 when he died.
Phantom smiled widen, as he began to slowly walked backwards. My smile began to slowly disappear, 'He's up to something.' I quickly grabbed my gun off from the floor, pointing it directly to his head. 'What next, a bunch of ghost going to come? Was this all an act?'
"See Maddie," he said when he reach the ledge of the roof, "you will never trust me. I'm still a monster."
'He wasn't going to-? No he can't. Ghost fly, they float because of ectoplasm levels.' She had seen ghosts jump off buildings, only to be swept into the air by their powers.
Phantom jumped on to the ledge of the building and look down at the crowds of people looking up at him, their hero. He turned to face me, with a tear falling down his right cheek.
"I'm sorry mum, but I told you to kill me before I kill myself."
And then he jumped.
I wrote this story a really long time ago, but never finished it or upload it. (note this is Maddie POV)
