Dead Can Dance - Host Of Seraphim

A beautiful sparking brown eye opened widely and stared up at the ceiling above. There were hanging crystals there, along with tiny wind chimes and feathers. A cool breeze blew in making all of them dance and sing a haunting rhythm.

"Ricardus…I have a bad feeling."

Hiking himself up, Ricardus rubbed his scruffy face before smiling across at her.

"Usted siempre tiene un sentimiento malo Solitaria."

Solitaire sat across the room, a beautiful netted blue and red shall thrown over her. Her eyes and face were darkly painted and fake gems surrounded her nearly completely white eyes. She was sitting at her table with her tarot cards.

Ricardus sat up, running one hand through his shaggy dark brown hair before standing up shirtless, wearing down his brown worn slacks he had owned for nearly two years. Stretching, Ricardus walked over to the window that overlooked the harbor.

Solitaire turned over one of the cards, her eyebrow slightly raised before she turned the other. Ricardus walked over, rubbing the back of his darkly tanned neck before looking down at the cards.

The age of cups and death.

Solitaire looked up at him, her beautiful white eyes disturbed.

"Never ending last time and death…these cards don't make sense."

Ricardus dryly laughed.

"Usted lee lejos demasiado en estas tonterías."

"I don't think so Ricardus, please just stay with me…don't go this time."

Ricardus warmly smiled before reaching over and taking Solitaire's hand which was covered in dangling bracelets and rings.

"No hay nada preocuparse por mi amor. Una vez que yo vuelvo del Reino de Siam que estaremos casados y yo nunca dejaré su lado otra vez."

Solitaire stared down at the cards before deeply sighing, looking up at him his eyes held so much promise she knew it couldn't be true.

An hour or so later the two stood on the docks as the men began loading into the ship. Ricardus stood beside Solitaire, gently touching her painted face and staring down into her eyes.

"Seré regreso mi amor."

Solitaire gently smiled looking up at him, her eyes still worried.

"And I will forever wait for you."

Ricardus leaned over, kissing her soft lips before holding her face in his hands. Sighing, he saw how scared she was. Trying his hardest his cleared his throat and spoke the words she had been desperately been trying to teach him for the last few months.

"I will…forever…love you."

He struggled with the words, but they came out perfect. Solitaire smiled as a single tear rolled down her face. Just then a beautiful brightly colored bird landed a few feet away from them on the dock. A bird that was very rare for this land. Ricardus and Solitaire stared at it before she held his hands tightly.

"Forever."

"Forever."

For the last time they kissed before Ricardus walked to the ship and climbed on board. Solitaire watched as the ship slowly began to pull away from the harbor. Feeling more tears escape from her eyes, she watched him until he disappeared from site. Watching the ship set sail onto the sea, she watched the bird before it flew up and headed towards the overcast sky.
