His eyes snapped open. Jerking straight up in the bed, he took in the white walls and the shiny floor of the room. He turned to get a better look around but felt a small, painful tug in his arm. After a moment of indecision, he yanked the needle from his arm and got off the hospital bed. He noticed the small drawer at the end of the room. He quickly sped over to it and pulled the top drawer open, and found a set of folded clothes and a red cap inside.

He took the clothes out and put them under his arm. Using his other hand, he pulled the lower drawer open and discovered the red device inside. He was about to leave it until some urge told him he had to take it. So he did, changed into the clothes he found and left the hospital gown on the floor. He went towards the door and picked up the green backpack leaning up against it.

He opened his door a tiny amount to check for people outside and waited for a nurse to pass before stepping out of the room and walking towards the exit of the ward. Most of the nurses were occupied with treating other patients to notice him, and he covered his face with the brim of the cap just in case. There were pink and white creatures standing alongside many of the nurses. Those are... Clefable, Blissey, and Audino. He remembered. He reached the end of the ward when a stretcher burst through the door.

"OUT OF THE WAY! MOVE! Someone get me another set of hands!" One of the EMRs yelled. He sidestepped out of the rush of EMRs and pokémon that followed suit. The girl on the stretcher seemed to have been badly injured, from some sort of fall, he thought. He continued of the hospital and out to the town. The town was full of makeshift tents full of patients and busied doctors.

What happened here? The sound of sirens filled the air as multiple ambulances arrived on the scene. Stretchers and injured patients came out of them, quickly being wheeled into the hospital. Less injured patients were being walked with Audinos over to the tents surrounding the hospital. He continued through the town until he got to a white building with a red roof. He felt a familiarity with the building as if he had seen it many times before. It was a Pokecenter. As he entered the building, it hit him. How did I end up in the hospital? Where am I? Who am I? He remembered the backpack and the red device in the drawer. Maybe it was time to check those things out.

"Clemont, any leads on where Ash is?" The small girl asked. She was in the city days ago when Prism Tower exploded, crumbling and falling on the panicked people below. Ash, Alain, Mairin, and Serena had been in that tower, trying to stop Team Flare from making Zygarde destroy Kalos and the world. Alain and Serena had been killed in the tower, Mairin was paralyzed waist down, and Ash was still missing.

Clemont pushed his glasses up. "No, Bonnie. If he had been found, he should have been admitted to the hospital, or a record would have been shown up about his death. I can't find any mentions of him in any database." Bonnie looked down. "Hey, cheer up sis, I bet you he's okay, somewhere out in the region." He heard sniffling. Bonnie looked up at him.

"Like how you said Serena... and A-Alain were going to be fine!" She was openly weeping now. The inventor went to hug her but was pushed away. After a minute or so, she quieted, only sobbing, and eventually wiped her face of tears. She regained her posture, looking right at her older sibling. "I have to have hope he's okay. If I don't have hope, he might as well be dead already, right big brother?"

Clemont smiled. "Yes, Bonnie. We must have hope for him." The two embraced each other, silently hoping that their missing friend would return soon.
