Detroit Become Human: Our Future
Well, another short Detroit oneshot to set myself up for bigger stories, as you've probably guessed, since I've focused on Kara and Connor already, this one is on Markus. Anyway, enjoy.

Standing on the roof of Jericho's new dwelling, Markus looked out over the city, it seemed strange to think that, just a few short days ago, it had been the site of his demonstration, of him leading his people to protest for freedom and to get equal rights for Androids. Now that part was over, the difficult task of rebuilding, of ensuring those rights were brought up and respected and advocating for his people, while doing what he could to help, especially in issues were there would still be some doubt, still people against Android freedom.
"I thought I'd find you here." Came the familiar voice behind him. "What is it with you and rooftops?"
He smiled lightly, turning to face North as she approached him, also smiling.
"I like the view." Markus replied. "It helps me think."
She stepped closer until she was right next to him and they looked out over the city together.
"The view is something, even after all that's happened." North admitted. "So, we did it, we got the humans to listen to us, we survived, we're free...but now comes the hard part."
Markus nodded. "Yes, we still have much to do, but for now, I want us to take time to enjoy what we have accomplished. To have at least a moment's respite, to let our hope shine through."
North looked up at him, smiling lightly as he said that, then with neither of them thinking about it, they reached for each other. Synthetic skin sliding back from their hands as they linked them, once more connecting with each other, sharing this quiet, tender, private moment together as the sun set on the horizon. They had so much still to do, but the future was theirs, they had hope and they were certain that, together, they could build a great future together.
