A/N: I haven't even finished reading Inkspell but I wrote this anyways. Get over it. Just something I thought of listening to Runaway by Linkin Park and Clowns (can you see me now?) by t.A.T.u.
Warning: Shounen-Ai
Disclaimer: Lyrics belong to Linkin Park and the book to Cornelia Funke.
Left Behind
"The lessons that you taught me,
I learned were never true.
Now I find myself in question.
They point the finger at me again.
Guilty by association."
Tears swelled in Farid's eyes. He was completely lost without Dustfinger, the man who had left him in the 'real' world. It hadn't been Dustfinger's fault exactly but the boy doubted his mentor even missed him. Dustfinger was wrong, Farid thought. He was a liar, he could feel anger boil in his body along with something else. He didn't care, nor did he ever love me! All those nights I gave him my body, he felt nothing! He used me for his own personal gain! Farid bit his lip, making it bleed. Elinor and the rest hate me because of him! How could I have been such a fool as to believe him? He'd just be happier if I died, he thought crying. The knife by his cot gleamed in the moonlight.
"Pain can cover the truth with it's darkness. Some don't remember this…."
In the Inkworld, Farid was all Dustfinger could think about. I'll see you again, Dustfinger thought to himself, promising someone who could not read his thoughts.
"Sometimes help comes to late and there will be nothing to salvage…."
Blood flowed onto the floor like a red waterfall, staining everything a deep red color. The white sheets becoming a scarlet splattered canvas. A body hit the floor, heart stopping. The knife lodged deep in the boy, slick with blood, growing colder and colder as the seconds passed. This is what we both wanted, was the last thought.
"Promises are made to be broken…."
Even if it's in the afterlife, I will see you again, Farid, I promise….
After Note: *yawn* Review?
