Hey there guys...well this was a story I wrote for my honors english 11B class. I didn't want to come up with character names or use Legend of Zelda characters (for in fear of being labeled a nerd...which I am I'll admit it. and I didn't want to get in trouble for using names either) Enjoy this short one shot...which isn't really Valentine's-ish. Also If this resembles a story you've read...we'll I haven't stolen it its an original yet I was SLIGHTLY inspired by a Bones fic...I forget the name of it but I, once again DID NOT, steal this idea at all

Disclaimer: I do NOT own Legend of Zelda.

The young woman, no older than twenty-four stood still, staring at the slab of stone before her. Tears streamed down her face as the gentle wind blew her long golden hair around her. She clamped her eyes shut hoping that when she opened them the black dress she wore would be exchanged for pink pajamas and the coldness around her would be replaced with a warm body beside her. And that the tears on her face were those of laughter and not sorrow. When finally opened her eyes, the sight of ocean blue eyes she desperately wanted to see did not stare back at her instead; the heartless stone with her lover's name carved into it completely shattered her already fragile soul. She simply ignored the tears on her check since it would be futile to attempt to wipe them away for a new batch would simply replace the lost ones. Slowly she lifted the white rose she loosely grasped in her hand to her red lips. She pressed a lingering kiss to the soft petals and placed it on top of the grave marker. The broken-hearted girl remained kneeled for several moments while clasping her necklace, ever so slowly she stood up and turned to head off towards her family.

"I love you," she whispered as quietly as she could, making it seem as he was merely sleeping and not dead. Her breath hitched in her throat as she looked once more at the name. "I love you," she whispered once more but the words were lost as the wind carried them off. The rose, however, remained in place as the wind picked up. With more tears she finally turned to leave.

War does not care who its next victim is; everyone is simply a pawn on a giant board where there are no second chances, no take backs and strategy is worthless since there are tremendous amount of variables in play. One move can change the course of another players life.

Sorry its short just posted as it was for my school paper. please review first Zelda fic
