Okay, so I saw the sneak peak scene focusing on Bailey and her new man, but I also looked behind her to my favorite pair on TV today. It could have been my imagination, but it looked like the pair was sporting similar necklaces, so I had to write about it. And it has happened to me, so I know that it's totally possible. Though that relationship of mine is no longer, and we hope that doesn't happen with these two.
Oh yeah, the next installment of family ties is coming up, just be patient!
"Hey, do you have a minute?" Arizona leans close to her girlfriend, squeezing her hand tightly.
"I have five of them, before the first ambulance gets here with the first of the restaurant victims. What do you need?" Arizona pulls the brunette into an on-call room, shutting the door behind them.
"Okay, as much as I'd enjoy this, what I'd like to do here would take a lot more than five minutes." Callie's broad grin falters slightly when Arizona holds up a small white box wrapped in a red bow.
"It's clearly looking like we're not going to be making our dinner reservations tonight, so I want to give you this now." Callie takes the box with one hand while reaching into her pocket for a similarly sized box tied with a pink bow, which she hands to the blonde.
"You do realize that you're turning me into a cliché, right? I've never really been one for gift giving on obscure holidays like Valentine's Day before… then again it's also been awhile since I've been with someone to celebrate Valentine's Day with, and-" What would become a Callie rant is cut off by a kiss from the blonde.
"Three more minutes left." The younger woman clears her throat nervously before pulling off the bow and opening the box. Inside is a small cloth pouch that she upends into the palm of her hand. Out falls a chain with a heart charm hanging from it.
Arizona looks on as Callie starts to grin, barely containing a laugh at the sight of the gift. Callie stops her before she can say anything, simply motions for her to open her gift. Confused, Arizona goes through the motions, opening her box to find the same charm on a silver chain. Looking up she sees Callie grinning broadly at her.
"You're not going to spout off some cheesy line about the 'exchanging of hearts' are you?"
"Well, seeing as you've got less than a minute to get down to the ER, I'll hold off on it." Arizona allows Callie to take the chain from her hands, turning so that she can clasp it behind her neck before returning the favor to Callie. "I've turned you into a cliché person, huh?"
"Yeah, but I love you, so I'll forgive you it." Callie grins broadly at her girlfriend, leaning in for a quick kiss before opening the door.
"Hey, Bailey." Arizona grins at the attending, the pair falling into step behind her, making their way to the elevator. Arizona glances down at her new gift before tucking it under her scrub top as the newest anesthesiologist comes up from the side with his own brand of flirting.
