Kreacher mumbled to himself (much of it inaudible) as he walked across the kitchen. Sirius sat at the table, white knuckled and pissed. He didn't like Kreacher, course, who did? He had already kicked him across the kitchen 3 times, being scolded by Hermione each time. She would run across the room to try and help him up, of course with a declined of: "Mudblood! Trying to touch Kreacher, Mistress would not approveā¦" As the dreaded House Elf made his trip back across the room, his usually inaudible babble raised an octave so Sirius, Hermione, Remus, Harry, and Ron heard: "Mudbloods and werewolves and traitors and thievesā¦." Sirius stood up with a scrape of his chair. Hermione spoke a low warning, but Sirius seemed not to hear. He only walked straight up to Kreacher while growling: "Don't call them Mudbloods. Don't call them werewolves. And do not call them traitors and thieves." Kreacher looked up at his master with the same look he always has and continued to mumble, now inaudible. Remus knew he was going to try and kick the Elf again, so he walked up and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Don't, Sirius. He's not worth it." Sirius closed his eyes and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. Kreacher limped off like nothing had happened. When he was gone, Sirius finally turned around. "Thanks, Remus." His classic smile bloomed across his face. "You're welcome, Sirius." Remus returned the smile. Off on the other side of the room, Harry, Ron and 'Mione stood together. Ron got a sinful smile upon his face as he turned to the other two. "Don't they look cute together?" They all laughed, and the two men of whom they were talking turned around with a look of confusion upon their faces. When Remus and Sirius turned back around, 'Mione whispered to Harry and Ron: "Yea, their adorable." Another round of giggles, and another confused look. You can thank Kreacher for this one-shot :)
