My second story would be shorter, but it's time I make the next one. Hope you enjoy! :D
It is one day after Redd and Marie's first date. They enjoyed it very much. Another day begins, and many Inklings gather around the center, waiting for the news to come on. After a brief intermission, the citizens of Inkopolis Square see Pearl and Marina, members of the newest musical group, Off the Hook.
"Y'all know what time it is!" Pearl started.
"It's Off the Hook, coming at you LIVE from Inkopolis Square!" Marina continued. Redd himself thought Off the Hook was a cool music group, but in his mind, the could NEVER compete with the Squid Sisters.
"Before we begin, we got some stuff to say." Pearl said.
"That's right!" Marina commented.
"The Squid Sisters are finally back together, and we could never be more proud."
"I'm so glad! There is nothing that could ever compete with this!"
"Now... how about we go ahead and reveal today's battle stages?" Pearl said to her partner.
"You got it, Pearlie!" Marina replied. And the two reveal the stages for today, and began to end their broadcast.
"And that's all the time we got!" Pearl exclaimed as she stands up. Marina puts her turntables aside and stands as well.
"Until next time... Don't get cooked... stay off the hook!" Both of them said in unison. And the latest news ended. Redd himself was also a singer, though it has been in high school when he met his best buddies, so they couldn't become a music group.
"You know, I've been a great singer ever since I was little. I'm thinking we should form a singing group." Redd said as he turns to his pals standing next to him.
"You really think so?" David asked.
"Sure! I mean, I do good in parodies and karaoke. If we form a singing group, we can become rivals with the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook!" Redd replied.
"I like the way you think! We'll just need some practice." Joel responded.
"Plus, I don't know how to start. Doing something like this is tough." David said.
"Oh, don't you worry. I know someone who can help. Just leave it to me." Redd replied with a smirk. He walks away soon after, ready to form this new plan that he had in mind.
"There goes a real friend." Joel said.
