This is set at Ren/Kyoko's wedding, and while not a songfic TECHNICALLY, it is centered around one. I just saw this scene whenever this song played on my ipod, so I finally got it written!
I do not own the rights to Skip Beat! if I did, it would not exist or would be ridiculously short and still in my head or at my house. Not published in a few languages other than my own.
"You may kiss the bride."
Ren did not wait to find out if this was a dream or not, he simply swooped down and took his new bride in his embrace. His Kyoko Hizuri.
Everyone at the wedding clapped and then jumped in unison as fireworks started going off behind the stage. Everyone who knew the president however, just rolled their eyes and smiled as they watched the presentation and the red-faced new couple in front of them. As the fireworks were going off, a platform rose with them as a chord was struck, followed by drums and then by a strong, pretty female's voice, who was the one on the platform.
Ever ever after (happily)
Storybook endings, fairytales comin' true.
She sang the song in English, smiling down on the new couple and walking down stairs that came out of nowhere as the words were translated into Japanese on the billboard behind the platform (where did these things hide?)
Deep down inside we wanna believe they still do! (Still do, still do, still do)
In our secretest heart
It's our favorite part of the story!
Let's just admit we all wanna make it to.
Ever ever after
If we just don't get it our own way
Ever ever after
It may only be one wish away
(The singer stopped on a slightly shorter platform closer to the stage.)
Start a new fashion, wear your heart on your sleeve (ever and after)
Sometimes we reach what's with us by making believe (believe, believe)
Unafraid, unashamed
There is joy to be claimed in this world
You even might wind up being glad to be you!
Ever ever after
Though the world may tell you it's not smart
Ever ever after
The world can be yours if you let your heart
Believe in ever after
No wonder your heart feels it's flying
Your head feels it's spinning,
Each happy ending's a brand-new beginning!
Let's just all be enchanted you just might break through…
To ever ever after
Forever could even start today
Ever ever after
Maybe it's just one wish away
Your ever ever ….(happily,happily)
Ever ever ever aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafter (I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss…)
Oh woah woah
Your ever ever aaaaaaafter
As the girl broke off the last note, Ren/Kuon simply laughed as he reveled in his new wife's beet-red face. He would later swear that he could see steam rise off of her during that song. He looked up to applaud the singer, but the stage was gone as suddenly as it had come up. (How did the President do that?)
And the preacher, as entertained as the rest, tried to contain his laughter as he then announced "Ladies and Gentlemen, I now present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Kuon Hizuri!" (I don't know how they do wedding ceremonies in Japan and I'm too lazy to look it up. Besides, with Kuon/Ren raised in America and Kyoko liking western fairytales as much as she does, I don't see it being too far-fetched that they'd have a western styled ceremony)
And so they lived, happily ever after.
THE END
I know, cheesy ending, but I just wanted to write this idea that's been in my head for a few weeks now and actually contribute to the only fanfiction category I actually read anymore. Hope you enloyed it and feel free to tear this poor sapling apart, it's kind of a drabble anyway.
