Astoria looked over to where Draco was sitting, looking outside the wide windows in his study, staring at nothing. Astoria sighed and laid down the book she was reading. He is thinking about her again. He is thinking about his Hermione.
Astoria never denied the fact that she liked Draco Malfoy ever since she laid eyes upon him. Even though she is two years below him, she was lucky enough to catch the attention of the 'Slytherin Prince'. But unfortunately, someone has already caught the undying love and attention of Draco Malfoy, who is none other than Hermione Granger, the School Genius.
Astoria always wondered why Draco fell in love with Hermione and Hermione with him after he called her a mudblood and constantly bullied her.
"Well, she's pretty and smart, maybe that's why" Astoria thought and felt a slight pang of jealousy.
Yes, she was beautiful, not to mention smart. She's also good at quidditch, but she always thought that it wasn't enough to compete with Hermione Granger. She looked over to where Draco was sitting again, and wondered even greatly why Draco agreed to marry her.
When his parents first told him about the arrange marriage with the younger Greengrass, she could say that he is hesitant. But Astoria sighed with relief and deep, deep down, she felt elated when he finally agreed.
But after 2 years of their marriage, Astoria noticed that Draco isn't happy with her anymore. He was always locking himself in his study, Astoria only to find him looking outside the window, deep in his thoughts. She never bothered asking him why he was becoming distant with her when the truth finally dawned at her. He still loves Hermione. He always has and always will. She will always be his number one girl, while Astoria will always be the second best, unloved and not cared about.
She made her way to where Draco was and sat down across from him.
"Thinking of her again?" she asked and looked at the pouring rain outside the window. Draco looked at her and nodded slowly. She faced him and looked at his grey eyes, which now lack the sparkles Astoria loved. For the past months, Astoria never saw the sparkles in his eyes anymore, and even the small smile he manage to give her once in a while.
"You still love her" she stated and felt her heart break into pieces. Draco just remained silent.
"I love you" he said and took her hands. Astoria turned to him and saw a small smile form on Draco's lips. She smiled back at him and cupped his face in her small, delicate hands.
"You will… Someday" she said and two tears made their way down Draco's face.

So, this is my first Draco/Astoria fic and I hope you all like it. Sorry if it's crap because I've written this around 1 in the morning and I'm very drowsy, but lucky enough that I got to finish it in an hour.
