Mariah gazed out over the water and felt the breeze blow through her hair. It was mid august and the trees leaves were now a bright green. In a few days she would be going to wards her real home, the home away from an abusive aunt and two evil cousins, Hogwarts. Her parents were killed by Voldemort and she was sent to live with her mothers step sister, Terika. You see, Terika was white and Mariah's mom, Alexia, was mixed. And Mariah's dad had light brown skin. So she obviously has light brown skin too. And her cousins always messed with her, talking about her being a half breed and all. Her mother was also part Vella. That made her astoundingly beautiful. Which made her cousins jealous. There's also another big difference between her and her cousins. They are in Slytherin, she is in Griffindor. That made them mortal enemies in more than just their house. There are a couple things that are significant about her other than her being part Vella. The night her parents died it was Christmas Eve, her parents were sitting around the fire and drinking hot chocolate. She was two weeks old. The door busted down and her dad grabbed his wand and told her mom to run up in the attic and hide. Right as she ran up the stairs there was a jet of green light. She reached the attic and dead bolted the door. Then, hid Mariah in a trunk. Bella Le strange busted down the door and preformed the Avada Kedavra curse on her mom. She heard Mariah crying in the trunk and opened it. She then, laughed and said Avada Kedavra. But, instead of me dying she flew back through the door and slammed into the wall. Ever since, Mariah has had a scar in the shape of a heart next to her left eye. The only people who know about theta is Dumbledor and her godfather, Jonathan Wood. Her father and Jonathan were best friends growing up in school. They also both played for Puddlemere United. Jonathan was the keeper, Elijah, her father, was seeker. There is something funny about that. She is best friends with Jonathan's son, Oliver. He is keeper like his dad and she seeker like hers. Her dad's brother was Micah Johnson, Angelina's dad. She was a chaser on the Griffindor quidditch team along with Katie Bell, and Alicia Spinnet. Two of her other best friends is Fred and George Weasley, they are the beaters. There is only one way to put her love of quidditch, obsession.
I know it's short but, it's my first story and i'm working on it.
