The only thing she knew and understood was pain. Pain in all varieties had accompanied her at all times.

At first there had been the pain in her heart, every time her parents had preferred her sisters. Then there had been the pain every time she had been punished for not being good enough.

But soon she found a way to get rid of the pain that clung to her.

She diverted it.

Her cat had been her first pain vessel. She never considered the cruelties of her doing since the cat never opposed to her and always came back. It was hers.

At school she had many more possibilities. She realized there were children no one liked. So who cared what they thought or felt? The first mudblood she used to cause pain to was that jerky faced Eldritch Peterson. When she made him fall down the stairs she even got many praising looks. How good that felt! And the best thing was that his screams made her forget how stupid, meaningless and cruel life was.

She forgot the high pressure to fulfil her parents expectations.

She forgot how she never pleased anyone.

And she could finally forget the way her sister's golden hair gleamed in the sun.

But then school was over and she was left alone again. She spent her days aimlessly and hurt. Her victims seemed all out of reach and her cat was dead.

One day, though, she found something new. She found the way to the muggleparts. There was a whole world full of disgusting, magicless creatures. And non of them could stop her. After a while she even found companions who shared her passion. She even accepted one of them to be her husband. They might have different reasons for their actions, but that didn't matter.

That was when she met HIM.

He acknowledged her abilities and respected her. Not even her husband was able to give her that warm feeling of acceptance she felt near her master. He was her soul, he built her up, he gave her meaning. So in return she was his. She did everything to please him. Just one smile and she would go even further than she had before.

But then suddenly he was gone.

And all he left behind was confusion and pain. It couldn't be true. He would have never left her. This had to be a test and so she began to search for him. Thoroughly. He certainly would have been proud of her how she handled everything. Each action an homage to his doings. But no matter how hard she tried, no matter which borders she crossed, he stayed gone.

And she got caught. Those stupid and ignorant traitors locked her away.

Those grey and moist walls were her home and in them the pain returned. She was consumed by it day and night. But even worse, faces haunted her. Faces of those who she had disappointed or hurt. Now they all came back to hurt her. She spent hours or even maybe days shouting at them, begging them.

Nothing helped.

She wished so strongly to hear him say her name for one last time that she wasn't at all surprised when his tall silhouette appeared in front of her cell.

"Did you miss me, dear Bellatrix?"

And a pale, beautiful hand reached for her.
