Disclaimer: I own nothing of Warhammer 40k
This is my attempt to give a "reasons you suck speech" to the loyalists which interesting I have never seen before.
Lion EI'Johnson
The first, the Lion
You are the first Primarch, renowned for your brilliant mind and skill as a warrior.
To say you had a difficult life would have been an understatement. You landed in the chaos tainted lands of Caliban and fought it off until you were discovered by humans and one in particular.
Luther
The Lion and Luther
An unstoppable time you were against all that threatened you. Together you freed your planet from the beasts and made it a planet good for mankind.
When the imperium came you happily joined to fight among the stars. On the very first planet you came to you were almost killed and to your shock Luther played a hand in it. You could have killed him right there but you sent him back in exile along with everyone he said was trustworthy.
You were right to send Luther back for he was your closest friend and betrayed you but have you ever asked yourself why?
In another age without you he would have been the greatest man yet you came into the picture and took it all away from him. You convinced yourself that Luther never cared for you and was simply jealous your whole life.
Perhaps that was true.
Or perhaps not for despite what you think Luther did care for you once. You knew it deep down and sadly found it easier to simply send him away.
Did you not think that perhaps you two should have simply talked to one another? Perhaps so much would have been avoided or maybe everything would have stayed the same. You will never know for you never tried to figure it out.
You were surprised when you came back to Caliban and found it against you but what else did you believe would happen? You had sent away half your legion to your homeworld in exile, many of which were still loyal to you, for one reason or another.
Did you really think that they would stay there and still be loyal to a man who discarded them as trash? How did you think they would react as others claimed glory while they were left to rot?
A leader must be worthy of loyalty and shouldn't believe that they are owned it.
So as you sleep in the rock as your loyal son's drive others away with their secrets and contempt know that despite all you have done for the Imperium you have done as much harm.
Next up: Russ!
