Author's Note: Please please please add reviews! I know this sounds disjointed. I promise my other stories will actually have a plot. The point of this story is a prediction that may or may not come true when Oathbringer comes out, so I'm hesitant to write more.

Szeth walked down the narrow street, the crowd parting before him in a sea of anxious whispers as they noticed the metal-sheathed sword strapped to his back.

Do you see that person? Nightblood hummed in his mind.

"I see a lot of people," Szeth whispered to the sword.

It's a woman in a dress.

That wasn't very specific. "Do you know her?" Szeth asked.

Of course I know her! Her name is Vivenna. Hi!

Apparently, Nightblood had said this to Vivenna as well, because a woman farther up the street turned around suddenly, searching for something. She locked her eyes on Szeth and pushed her way through the crowd of people, ignoring their mumbled protests.

She's coming! said Nightblood happily. She saw me!

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Szeth murmured.

Yes. She's a good person.

Szeth stayed put. Although he couldn't trust the sword's definition of "evil," Nightblood was usually correct when he claimed that a person was "good."

The woman approached. She was wearing a short-sleeved blue dress. As she stepped into the light, the colors around her brightened slightly - a subtle, but noticeable, shift.

To Vivenna's credit, she stepped right up to Szeth. "Who are you?" she asked in Shin. Odd. Based on her attire, Szeth would have expected her to be Bav.

"I am Szeth-son-son-Vallano," said Szeth. "Who are you?"

"I'm Vivenna," the woman replied. "What are you doing with Nightblood?" She was certainly direct. Szeth could appreciate that about a person.

I'm right here, you know, Nightblood grumbled, sounding annoyed.

"Does Vasher know about this?" Vivenna continued, ignoring the sword.

"Vasher?" asked Szeth, confused.

"Oh, colors," Vivenna muttered.

He changes names too much, Nightblood noted. Maybe you know him by a different name.

"What do you want?" Szeth asked Vivenna.

"I want you to get rid of that thing," Vivenna spat, glaring at the pure black hilt beside Szeth's head. "I'll find Vasher. Then you need to give Nightblood back."

Give Nightblood back? "I'm afraid that won't be possible," Szeth said quietly.

"Why is that?" asked Vivenna. Strangely, she didn't have that lust in her eyes that people usually did when they saw Nightblood. Instead, she looked worried, almost terrified.

Nightblood answered that question for them. The weight on Szeth's back lifted as Nightblood dissolved into black smoke, streaming out of his sheath. Vivenna's hair instantly turned stark white. Next to Szeth, Nightblood coalesced into a humanlike figure with glowing eyes, made entirely of black smoke.

"You see," Nightblood said, "I'm not exactly a sword anymore."
