I had to write a sonnet for my World Lit class. I chose Batgirl and Robin; my newest obsession. Hope you enjoy it!
Creeping through the shadows, we blend like bats
I flip while we run along the sky line
You laugh as we jump down to fight the rats
The one I fought goes down, hard. I got mine.
Your cape is grabbed and you are on the ground
After a flip my fist is in his face
Seems I really needed something to pound
I turn to ask you, "Would you like to race?"
That damn ninja thing; you've done it once more,
By the time I've found you, you're in a mob.
I watch in awe as you flip and you soar,
"'Astrous." A cackle, smile, then "Rob!"
It is always fun, the nights when we meet,
Especially with Alfred's tasty sweet.
