A/N: There was this idea in my mind… So, I thought "Why not? Selene isn't cold in her soul actually and she may need some close and peaceful moments with Eve." They already had some, so, really – why not?

That's why you see this story now. Please, tell me is it good or bad.

By the way – I don't forget about my story "Meeting". You will see 9th chapter soon, I promise. Now read this "pre-Meeting" story.

David left them in the one of the safe houses. Actually, Selene didn't like to be in the place which was property of Thomas. She didn't feel safe there. But she didn't have choice. Eve and she needed some relax.

Selene lay on her bed, when she heard something near her. She turned to see Eve. The girl gave her a confused look.

"I couldn't sleep," she said.

"Do you see nightmares?" Selene asked.

Eve nodded.

Selene looked at her and suddenly raised her blanket a little, inviting her daughter to lie near her. Eve looked at her mother. She wasn't sure what to do. But finally she joined her mother on the bed, hugging her and feeling Selene's hands hugging her back. Eve closed her eyes. She dreamed of moment like this. Eve felt something like happiness. Finally she could be pressed to her mother's chest. She heard Selene's whisper.

"I can't promise you that I will become good mother. But I can promise you that I will try." Selene kissed Eve's forehead.

"I don't need more," Eve opened her eyes. "Speak with me? Tell me anything."

"What do you want to hear?" Selene looked at her.

"Tell me about dad. Is he a good man? Do you love him still?" Eve asked the most important questions for her.

"Well, I love him, of course. He is the only man who was loved by me. And there isn't going to be another one. And he is a very good person. You remain me him. Generally you have his appearance. When I see your eyes I feel like I see his. But your hair is black like mine. And form of you head is mine too, as well as lips," Selene smiled in the dark.

"So is he blond?" Eve asked with curiosity in her voice.

"He has dark blond hair. But I always had a feel that his hair were gold when he was in sunlight," Selene closed her eyes. She almost felt him near her. It was hard without him but at least she knew that he was alive and free. It was enough for now. But she promised to herself that she was going to find him. And nothing in the world could stop her.

"Does he know about me?" Eve was glad that her mother was finally in good mood to speak with her. And she was going to take as much as she could from this talk.

"No, he doesn't. Both of us didn't know that I was pregnant," Selene sighted. She didn't want to think about moment, when she lost everything. She lost her lover, her child and her freedom that night in the landing stage. It was painful moment for her. Thankfully Eve already had another question.

"How did you meet him?"

Selene closed her eyes again.

"It was in a subway. I hunted lycans and nothing in the world could stop me but when I saw him I forgot about my work. He just stood and looked at me and I looked at him," Eve felt that Selene was smiling. "But now you should sleep. There are a lot of bad things around us; you may need your power. We should be ready to meet everything." Selene felt that Eve sighed and lay more comfortable, pressing to her chest. Tenderness filled her mind and soul. She suddenly whispered. "I love you, dear."

It was strange feel between them now. Eve felt that Selene opened her soul to her a little. The girl has never seen her father but he already tied Eve with Selene together more or less. And she was grateful to him already.

Perhaps everything is going to be OK with us.

Eve closed her eyes.
