This was it! This was going to be the moment that I got my revenge. The monster lazed on top of the counter, as though it was relaxed.
"You won't be relaxed for long!" I muttered. I would avenge Sonic. I would make this burger regret ever mutating! Perhaps I should explain myself….My name is Miles "Tails" Prower, but my friends just call me Tails…or at least…they did…until they all died. Sorry, I should start at the beginning.
"Tails, get up! It's almost noon and I'm hungry!"
My eyes blinked opened and I looked at the clock, 11:45 October 31. Five hours and fifteen minutes until IT happened, but I didn't know that then. Yawning and stretching I got up.
"Tails are you up yet?" my best friend and roommate, Sonic the hedgehog, poked his head into my room.
"Yeah, I'm up Sonic. What were you thinking for lunch?" I asked, rubbing my eye.
"What about some burgers? There is that little diner down the way. We could walk there?"
"That sounds really yummy! Let me just get my shoes on!"
It took some time for me to find my shoes. By the time we left it was 12:30. 4 hours and 30 minutes. We walked down the sidewalk as cars buzzed past. We got to the diner and found it packed. Sonic sighed and gave a shrug.
"It is lunch hour. Come on, let's go ahead and get in line." I looked past the line to the counter. There had to be at least a million people.
"SONIC!" A shrill voice called out. We both turned and saw Amy come running towards us. She clearly was too stop. She ran into Sonic knocking him down.
"Hey Amy, what's up?" Sonic asked casually, getting up.
"We need your help! Doctor Robutnik has done something horrible!"
"OH NO! What has he done this time?" I asked.
"He mutated the burgers in all the joints!"
"Um…what?" I asked.
"You heard me!"
"Then why are the burgers here all…" at that moment there was a scream at the front of the diner. All I saw was a burger move on its own before it disappeared in the crowd.
"See?" Amy said! "Now come on!"
