Dusk looked up at New Bodums sea. "I'm 16 today...No one to celebrate it with...Mom and Dad are gone...Dawns sick..." A tear ran down his cheek thinking of his Sister Dawn she just couldn't take it after their Mother and Father died and fell ill. "I will save you...I've heard rumors of a holy relic that can heal any ailment...I'll find it for you Dawn." A tear fell from Dusks cheek and into the ocean water. He let out a sob as he felt arms go around him from behind. "Ariel." Dusk said looking at the water. "That's right." She said putting her head against his back. "I love you Dusk." Ariel said reassuringly. "I know but this may be the last time we see eachother..." Dusk replied sadly. "I don't think so I know where you're going and I'm coming to someones gotta keep you out of trouble!" She said jubiantly. "I don't want you to be put in danger too..." Dusk replied sadly.
She wrapped her arms around him again. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." Another tear fell from dusks eye as he let out a quiet sob. Ariel brushed some of her black hair out of her eyes. "What's wrong...we'll find it..." She said sadly to the man she loved. "I...I gotta become a l'cie...to achieve the power I need...to save Dawn." She stepped back in shock. "A..A L'cie..." "Yeah it's the only way this chalice is supposed to be the only thing to cure the pulsian plague..."
