He could sense her before she spoke. The heat radiated from her like the Sun.

"Why are you here, and haven't I told you enough? Those are unpleasant memories," he said loudly before she had a chance to speak. "What more do you want?"

She sidled up to him from behind. "Change," she whimpered like a child.

"Well, then go back where you belong." Before he bothered to complete the sentence, he realized what she meant. He spun on her like an angry animal. "I know what you're saying, and it will never happen. I will not make another like myself. The answer is no."
