Two green eyes glinted behind a thin-leafed bush. A small, barren patch of grass surrounded by trees was bathed in moonlight in Thunderclan. A light orange she-cat leaped out from behind the bush. Darting her eyes around nervously. The she-cat was small statured, with large green eyes. Her paws were a brown-orange color, along with the tip of her bushy tail and ears. She sat down by a tree and laid her head against the rough bark. She closed her eyes and thought of wonderful things. She woke with a start at the sound of rustling leaves. She coiled back, her ears flat against her head. What if someone sees me here! She nervously thought.

"Hello." A light brown tom poked his head out of another bush. The top of his pelt was a darker brown, while the bottom is lighter. It was quite obvious in the moonlight.

"Marshfur you scared me!" The she-cat exclaimed to the Tom as she brushed up against him and laid her head on his back.

" And I thought I was being quiet." Marshfur chuckled at the questionable look on the she-cats face. "You know, I'm excellent at being quiet."

"I'm pretty sure all of Thunderclan could hear you stalking around the forest at moonhigh, for something your not even supposed to do!" The she-cat laughed and nudged Marshfur in the side. She pulled him down to the ground with her.

"At least I'm in my own territory." Marshfur jokingly accused. It was true. Maplepool was a Windclan cat, and Marshfur belonged to Thunderclan. But they loved each other so much, and couldn't bear to be apart, despite it being against the warrior code.

"I'm not complaining." Maplepool whispered, smiling.

"Do you remember," Marshfur started, closing his eyes, "At the gathering, my eyes lit up when I saw you. I knew we had to be together."
