Beyond dreams

.

She was there, in the cave. It was pure coincidence that was there now. She didn't see that coming. But now she was there.

She could hear water dropping to the ground, echoing through the empty space in this cavern. Hot steam came from downside. So she decided to take the little stone steps that led her to a small lake. It was dark but there was also light. She didn't know which lights were shining to enlighten the cave. She also didn't think about it. She was just so caught in the moment and she didn't know why.

It was a normal cave from the first sight. But it wasn't normal. She had feelings she never had before.

She was at first terrified and then curious. Her mind stopped thinking, it was as if her actions were not thought of. She almost felt like she was under a spell...

No, she was under a spell.

It was then, that she felt the cold air against her skin that her body stripped her out of her clothes. Then she saw her ankles in the water, it had the same temperature as her skin and was not like going into water at all. It was like going into something incredibly safe, she had goosebumps all over her body.

And then she saw the light. It was at the other side of the water, about twenty feet away. There was a stone wall and it was different from all the other walls in the room. It was much brighter looked almost like a big white stone.

She stepped closer until she stood just before the it, she had not to swim because the water was not deep.

She stepped out of the water.

And then she touched the white stone.

And all thinking stopped, her eyes shut, every memory she had vanished.

Empty.

Empty.

She opened her eyes and blinked.

The stone suddenly was dark at the place on which her hand was a moment ago. And then she identified it.

It was another hand on the other side of the stone wall.

She didn't know what to do. She was scared to death and she was so curious.

Her hand lifted again to the same place where the hand on the other side of the wall was. She placed her palm against it and... again.

Empty.

Empty.

And then she gasped. The wall was gone. And she could feel the skin of the hand on the other side, so warm, so comforting. So overwhelming.

As she felt the salty wetness on her lips she realized that she was crying.

She looked up and... nothing.

She wasn't able to look beyond the stone wall. The only thing she could feel was that there was a shadow. And this hand.

She wanted to see, she wanted to touch and feel.

Who?

Who is standing on the other side?

She wanted to make a step, she wanted to pull, to push, she wanted to scream.

But she couldn't make any movement. She was desperate, she was insane.

Grey.

And then she woke up.

A/N:

Hey,

to be honest I don't know what to say. I was listening to the song "Sora" from Yoko Kanno and then this just came to my mind some minutes ago and I had to write it. I don't know if I will continue this. Maybe some day. Maybe not. Thank you for reading.
