Just this once, a vocaloid fanfic

A/N: A quick drabble. Enjoy! :) This is dedicated to hamxham's story "Three Years".

Len was 12 and Kaito was 19

Len knew at some point that he and Kaito shared a bond. From the moment that he peeked under Master's leg, he knew that Kaito would become a special person to his life.

Len was 14 and Kaito was 20

Len started to experience stomach pains whenever Kaito was near. He knew that there was something wrong. What he didn't knew was that it was just butterflies fluttering inside.

Len was 15 and Kaito was 22

Len experienced jealousy and chest pains. He knew that someday Kaito would date girls but he didn't expect it to be so soon. He had overheard that Kaito dated different girls every week. And when he did saw Kaito with one of them, he didn't expect that his chest would crack little by little.

Len was 16 and Kaito was 23

Len started to be much more mature and open minded. He grew close to Kaito and often gave him advice on girls. He started to be much more observant but he quickly wished that he didn't. Those meaningful stares that passed between Kaito and Rin was enough to make his chest hurt even more.

Len was 17 and Kaito was 24

Len, for the first time, wished that he didn't have a sister. He winced everytime Kaito's eyes would brighten up whenever Rin entered the room. He also wished that for once, Kaito would look at him and notice that he and Rin also had the same face. They were twins after all.

Len was 18 and Kaito was 25

Len started to regret last night's events. He cried everytime he remembered that Kaito was drunk and those sweet nothings that were whispered into his ear was for Rin's, that by the time that the sun reached the curtains, Kaito wouldn't remember anything. But, the very reason that Len was miserable was that Kaito can't tell the difference between right and left.

Len was 19 and Kaito was 26

Len knew that his birthday would always be considered as her birthday in Kaito's eyes. What he also knew that her birthday was now a certificate to matrimony. And that was when Len stopped believing birthday wishes.

Len was 20 and Kaito was 27

Len graduated college along with Rin. He had known for a long time that when Rin graduated that was the time when the wedding bells start ringing. His chest began to hurt much more, like it was being torn apart.

Len was waiting and Kaito was too late

Len was chosen as the best man. He knew that this was the end, the end of the feelings that had started to grow and frequently whispered in Kaito's ears. But Kaito was deaf. So, when he and Kaito were left inside the groom's dressing room alone, he made the first decision that came from his heart and not from his mind. He vaguely remembered being asked about Kaito's appearance, he also remembered smiling up at him and tugging at his tie. He had no regrets as he placed his lips on Kaito's, pouring all the love and adoration that collected in his heart for 8 years.

"I love you, idiot."

Look at me, just this once.

A/N: I was feeling angsty and sad because I saw a certain someone with another someone. Oh, well. Reviews are appreciated as always. Please do tell me if I should make this into a chapter story.

Final note: Right = Rin. Left = Len. Just some guide in case you're confused about Kaito not being able to know the difference between right and left.
