There will be OCs in the story this is the companion to. This is merely setting up who is going to appear, some aspects of plot, and their situations, the actual story will be a different story.
Since characters are being transported into Remnant and have grown from their own canons, don't expect them to reflect only canon personalities. This is my take on them.
