A/N: To all my readers who read this story with Kat and Renamon, I'm sorry to say that I took it down. I took it down because I literally and truly couldn't describe Taomon's (Renamon's ultimate form) outfit. Even if I did my best at trying to describe the outfit, it wouldn't make sense to me as well as you. So I've decided to do a rewrite with all 36 chapters. I'll be reposting the chapters once I've redo them. It's still the same one as before. Just with a new name, a different digimon partner and a different colored crest for my oc. I do like to hear suggestions on what the symbol should be. Also I know that the new name that I picked out for my oc isn't traditional but I like the name.
That's home. Planet Earth. But I'm not sure that's where I am right now. Okay, let me back up a little. It all began when the climate went completely out of control. The rainforest dried out, and other places got totally flooded with oceans like chocolate sauce. And get this: places that were normally blazing hot in the summer, got super cold. At the time, I didn't know any of this was going on, because I was at camp. All of the other campers were, you know, goofing off and hanging out. Me? I was enjoying the summer sun while…. uh, going over my multiplication tables. That is, until it started to snow. In the middle of July! Totally freaky. And it gets weirder. You won't believe what happened to me and seven other kids. Oh, by the way, my name's Tai.
The red head girl with the blue hat? This is Sora. She's okay, for a girl. And Matt. Matt's too cool. Just look at that haircut that he has! And this little kid with the laptop is Izzy. He should have gone to computer camp. That's Mimi with the brown bag. I bet you can guess her favorite color on the first try. TK is Matt's dopey little brother. Then there's one of my little twin sisters, Kara. I can tell you one thing about her, she never goes anywhere without that purple backpack of hers. Oh, and this is Joe. But don't ever scare him. He'd probably wet his pants. So there we were at camp, when suddenly this huge blizzard came out of nowhere! Needless to say, the canoe races were canceled. So let's have toboggan races instead!
"I'm gonna build the biggest snowman!" T.K said as he ran outside.
"I'll help you make one T.K! Wait up!" said Kara, following after him. Matt yelled, "Hey, TK! Be careful. Slow down!"
"Brrr! It is freezing. And I didn't bring a jacket." Sora said, shivering as Tai walked out behind her. "Man! I was worried I'd catch a summer cold. But this is even worse!" Joe said standing in the doorway of the shed. Mimi squeezed herself then said, "Ahh! Wow! Why didn't I pack my fluffy pink snow boots?"
Izzy was still inside the shed, messing around with his laptop. "Still not working. Bummer. This storm's making a mess of my infrared internet connection." he said to himself, still trying to connect. "Hey, what's your name….Izzy? Come on out here, you gotta see this!" Tai yells out. Everyone looks up at the sky to see what looks like the aurora. "It's beautiful. Magical even." said Mimi as her eyes widened.
"It's really pretty, right Tai?" asked Kara.
"Yeah" said Tai, agreeing with her.
"Yeah, but what is it?" asked Izzy.
"Maybe an aurora?" Sora said as she went over next to Tai. "You mean Aurora Borealis? The northern lights? That's impossible. You see that in Alaska. We're way too far south." said Izzy.
"It looks so pretty though." said Kya as she picked up some snow and started to roll it into a ball. "Tell that to the snow, Izzy." said Sora.
"I really think we ought to get back inside before we all come down with pneumonia." said Joe as he started to rub his arms.
Matt looked up at the sky, then said, "And miss this? The sky is like, short-circuiting!"
"Hey, what's that?" Tai said.
"Do you think we need sunscreen?" Mimi asked. The beams of light shoot straight down at their feet, leaving holes in the already thick snow as they blocked themselves from the bright.
Sora looked around and asked, "Everyone, are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Nothing seems broken." said Kara.
"We're still here." said Matt.
"That was scary." said Mimi.
"What- What was it?" said Joe as he was fixing his glasses. "What- What was it?" said Izzy. Then out of nowhere, strange objects float up towards them. Each of the eight kids grab one. "What are these?" asked Sora.
"Good question Sora. A better question is what are they?" said Kara as she was turning hers over. The objects they had in their hands looked like little handheld computer games. "My guess is some sort of miniature remote digital apparatus." said Izzy.
"No instructions?" asked Joe.
"Forget the instructions, surf's up!" said Tai, grabbing his sister's hand and a huge wave started to wash over them. They fall in screaming…
"I knew I should have gone to cheerleading camp!" screamed Mimi. Sometime later, a voice out of nowhere starts calling out to Tai.
"Tai. Yoo-hoo, Tai." said the voice.
"Yeah, I'm okay…." he said and then opens his eyes to see a strange creature sitting on his chest. It looks like a tiny head without a nose. Its ears are long and look like cat's tails. It has sharp, jagged teeth. "That is the last time I eat camp food!" said Tai as he started to back up from the creature. Tai then looks over to see if Kara was ok. "Tai, you're awake!" she said as she ran over to him. Suddenly another strange creature popped out from behind her. The little creature was white with burgundy legs, burgundy ears and a burgundy tail.
"Hey, you don't need to be afraid of me. I'm your friend, I'm your friend, I'm your friend!" said the creature, as it bounces up and down, obviously very happy to meet Tai. "Just what are you? Have you had your rabies shots?" asked Tai, still freaked out from what was happening. "Everything's gonna be alright now, Tai. I've been waiting for you." said the weird creature, then jumps into Tai's hands.
"I've been so excited from waiting forever to meet you, Kara." said the other creature as it walks up to Kara. Both Tai and Kara looked at each other, then at the creatures. "Waiting for us?" Tai repeated.
"How long have you been waiting for us?" asked Kara.
"My name's Koromon." said Koromon.
"I'm Xiaomon." said Xiaomon, flicking its tail for a bit.
"And we're partners!" they said in unison. "Well Xiaomon, it's nice to meet you. Did you know that you're the cutest thing I have ever seen?" asked Kara as she picked up the Digimon and brought her to her face.
"Koromon? That means… talking head?" Tai asked.
"It means brave little warrior. And don't forget it, Tai!" Koromon replies, correcting him.
"So what did you mean you've been waiting for us? And how did you know our names?" Tai asked curiously.
"Tai?" Izzy called out from behind a tree. "Hmm? Izzy, that you?" asked Tai.
"It's me. And I've got this little pink thing following me everywhere." said Izzy as a little pink blob with arms came into view. "It is me, Motimon, at your service. Anybody want lunch?" Motimon said as Tai started to freak out more. "Another one? What are they?" asked Tai.
"Oh, allow me to introduce myself. My friends call me Motimon. Everyone does, actually." said Motimon as he introduced himself to Tai and Kara. "I believe those miniature remote digital gadgets have taken on an actual lifeform. I don't remember anything like this in the camp brochure." explained Izzy, as he and Tai were figuring out what these creatures were.
"Y'think? It's weird." said Tai as he looked around their surroundings in the forest. "I don't think this place is weird Tai. I find it interesting." said Kara.
"You always find things interesting." Tai says.
"The vegetation is lush, but the soil appears rather common." Izzy tells them.
"Nothing is common in DigiWorld." said Motimon.
"That's right, Tai. You're in the DigiWorld!" Koromon happily shouts.
"And just where is the DigiWorld?" asked Tai.
"This is the DigiWorld? Cool!" asked Kara
"I don't care so much about where it is. I wanna know what it is!" Izzy said, curious to know more. "Guess I'll just take a look around for myself." said Tai as he started to climb a nearby tree. "Be careful Tai." said Kara, hoping that he doesn't fall and hurt himself. "The Ocean? What's that doing there? Our campsite was nowhere near the ocean! And I sure don't remember those mountains. Hmmm. Something tells me a compass isn't gonna help much." he said to himself. Koromon hops up onto a branch next to Tai. "Hey, Tai. What do you see?" Koromon asked.
"Nothing I recognize. Huh? Wait, what's that?" asked Tai, seeing a huge red beetle is coming straight at them. "Look at that. It's some sort of giant red beetle! And it's flying right at us!" Tai yells out. The giant red beetle reaches the tree, both Tai and Koromon only just have time to get out of it before the top of it is sawed off by the red beetle's tusks. On the ground, Kara, Izzy, Motimon and Xiaomon are freaking out by what they see.
"I can't watch. That is one seriously bad digimon, even when he's in a good mood!" Motimon says as he covers his eyes. "That's just great." said Izzy. The giant beetle turns back around to attack Tai and Koromon. "Watch out! His name is Kuwagamon. He's an insectoid digimon. Vicious and ruthless, with teeth like knives and scissor hands that can chop through anything!" said Koromon.
"Well, who needs a gardener?" Tai jokes as Kuwagamon heads for them again. Tai grabs Kara and takes cover. Koromon blow bubbles at it while Wanyamon tried to bite him. This does nothing more than annoy Kuwagamon, and also makes it change its course, missing Tai and Kara. "Tai, you okay?" asked Izzy.
"Well, I have had better days." said Tai. Koromon crashes to the ground. Tai runs over to him. "Little guy! You should pick on bugs your own size! What's your name? Koromon?" he said looking down at him. "That's me." he said flattered at the complement.
"Tai, I'm scared." said Kara as she hugged her brother around the waist.
"Don't worry, Kara. Nothing will happen to you, I promise." he replied. Then Tai looked down at Koromon. "You're pretty brave. For a little guy. I'm impressed." he said.
"It was nothing." said Koromon, flattered by what he said. Meanwhile, Izzy noticed that Kuwagamon had turned around, flying lower at tree level and was heading straight for them again. "Ah, Tai, he's heading this way again!" said Izzy, pointing to the insect.
"What are we going do?" asked a scared Kara.
"Oh dear, oh dear! Quickly, everyone, this way." said Motimon and leads them to safety.
"Come on!" shouts Tai, grabbing Kara and Izzy's hand. All six of them started following. "Hurry up! For having two long legs, you kids are awfully slow! Inside this tree!" said Motimon, as he was in front of a tree.
Motimon jumps into the tree, and disappears. The kids stare at each other, and jump in after him. Inside, the tree's inner walls seem to be made of metal, while the top opens up to the sky. "Whoa…. What kind of tree is this?" Izzy asks, looking around them. "It's a hiding tree, silly." said Motimon as they wait for Kuwagamon to pass them by. "Wow. I should bring one home for Miko." said Kara, burying herself into Tai.
"Quiet now. Don't make a sound." said Koromon.
Kuwagamon shrieking ends and after a while everything becomes quiet. Then Sora's voice calls out. "All clear! No need to hide anymore." said Sora. They stuck their heads out of the tree to see Sora, standing there, unharmed. "Sora!" shouted Tai and Kara, glad to see their friend. "You can come out now." said Sora.
"Uh, we were just planning the trap we were gonna set for that big bug. Huh?" said Tai, then he looked down at what was next to her. Standing beside Sora is a small pink thingy with blue flower petals on its head. "I am enchanted to meet you, friends of Sora. Welcome." said the little pink thingy. "Tai, Izzy, Kara, meet Yokomon. My own personal something-or-other." said Sora, introducing them to Yokomon. "Looks kinda like a radish." said Tai.
"No it doesn't Tai. I think that Yokomon is really pretty. So don't be mean." said Kara, then walks up to Yokomon for a closer look.
"I'm not being mean, Kara. Just stating a fact." her brother said, putting his arms behind his head. "Yes you were so don't lie to me." Kara said, folding her arms in front of her. "Must be another one of them. Like the other… whatever they are." said Izzy. A small, white, pig-like thing with four legs runs into the clearing and stops in front of them. "They're popping up everywhere." said Izzy.
"Hello, I am Tokomon. Hey, TK, over here!" yells Tokomon.
"Coming! Tokomon, there you are!" TK yells out. TK comes running out of the bushes, followed by Matt, who's holding an orange blob with a long horn jutting out of its forehead. "TK!" Matt yells to him, hoping that he would stay close. "Hey, Matt, you too?" asked Tai.
"Yeah, I'm here too." replied Matt.
"No, I meant that! Under your arm!" Tai corrected, then points to under his arm. "Oh, this guy? Yeah, well…." Matt begins than trails off. "Hello. You appear pleasant. Tsunomon is my name and I am quite pleased to meet you." TK, Kara, Xiaomon and Tokomon are happily playing together, when they hear someone screaming. Joe dashes out of the bushes, closely followed by a levitating brown seal-thing with orange hair. "Help! Ahhhh!" Joe screams as he runs up to them. "Joe?" said Tai.
"Help me! This thing, this thing…. It won't leave me alone!" Joe says as he catches his breath and points to the creature behind him. "Hey, who're you calling a thing? I'm no stuffed animal. The name is Bukamon." said Bukamon. Bukamon starts laughing. Joe screams some more as he looks at the other kids. "Wha- What's wrong with you guys? Don't you see this creature hanging off me? And those creatures standing right there? They're- They're everywhere! What are they?" he said as he began to freak out.
Bukamon flew over to the other creatures. "We're digimon. Digital monsters." all seven digimon said, smiling up at them. "Digital monsters?" Tai asks.
"Yeah, digimon." All Seven Digimon say together.
"This is something that you don't get to hear every day." Kara whispered to herself.
"We're not just digital monsters. We're much more than that. We're… kinda cute." Koromon says to the six kids.
"And very loyal." said Tsunomon.
"With beautiful hair." Yokomon said.
"Or maybe no hair at all." said Motimon.
"We can be funny. Ha!" said Bukamon.
"And adorable." both Tokomon and Xiaomon replied.
"It's a pleasure to meet each of you. My name's Tai, and these are my friends from camp. I'd like you to meet Sora." said Tai, as he started introducing everyone. "Nice place you got here. Except the bugs." Sora said as she was standing on the right side of Tai. "And the self-proclaimed cool one over there is Matt."
"No autographs, please." said Matt.
"And this is Joe."
"I'd shake hands, if you had any." said Joe
"Izzy here's our computer expert."
"Do you have internent access?" asked Izzy.
"My little sister Kara."
"Are there any playgrounds nearby?" asked Kara.
"And last but not least, this little guy is…"
"TK. Call me TK. And I'm not as small as I look." said TK.
"There now. Is that everybody?" Tai asked the group. "Hey, what happened to that girl with the funny pink hat?" asked Sora.
"Now, now. Her name is Mimi." Tai tells them, wondering where Mimi could be. "Well, perhaps she's off picking flowers, or going on a nature hike." said Izzy. In the distance, they heard a scream. "Ahh! Somebody help me!" Mimi screams.
"Come on!" said Tai as they run off to find her. "Okay, so she's not picking flowers." said Izzy.
"Mimi, where are you?" yelled Tai, hoping that Mimi would answer. Mimi runs into another clearing, also screaming. She's followed by a green plant on legs. "There she is!" said Sora.
"Mimi, it's okay!" Tai says as he tried to calm her down. But Mimi isn't running from her little digimon, she's running from the much larger Kuwagamon. "It's that big bug again!" Tai says as he ducks from Kuwagamon dives at them. "Mimi, are you alright?" asked Mimi's Digimon.
"I think so." Mimi replied.
"Don't worry, Tanemon's here to protect you." said Tanemon, introducing herself.
"It's okay now." said Sora, putting a hand on Mimi's shoulder.
"Oh, Sora!" Mimi exclaims, as she is glad to see her.
"Tai!" Kara screams, pointing to the sky.
"Watch it, here he comes!" said Tai, grabbing his sister's hand again.
"Run!" Sora shouted and they started running again, deeper into the forest. Kuwagamon flies after the sixteen individuals, tearing up the foliage. Just as Kuwagamon was about to catch them, Matt shouts, "Get Down!" All of them hit the dirt, causing Kuwagamon to miss, again. "Will this nightmare never end? My mom is gonna want a complete and total refund!" said Joe with Bukamon by his side.
"Here he comes again!" said Tanemon
"Okay, that does it! No more running away!" Tai says angrily.
"What should we do Tai?" Kara asks.
"What else can we do?" Sora asked as she help Mimi up from the ground. "She's right. There's no way we can fight that thing!" said Matt, as he was standing next to T.K and Kara. "Not and win, anyway." said Izzy. They continue to run, until they reach a cliff. "Great. Anybody bring a helicopter?" said Matt. Tai looks down at the ravine. "Be careful, Tai!" Sora and Kara said.
"There's no way down. We're going to have to find another way." said Tai.
"Another way where?" asked Sora.
"I don't want to be bug chow. Not now and not ever." said Kara, looking behind them. Kuwagamon comes back for another shot, bursting from the bushes. "Watch out, Tai!" said Sora.
"Here I go!" said Koromon as he leaps at Kuwagamon and blows a bubble in its face. Again, this just annoys the giant insect. Tai then said, "Not again!"
"Digimon, attack!" shouted Yokomon. All of the digimon attack Kuwagamon with bubbles, causing it to crash into some trees. "Yokomon!" Sora calls out.
"Koromon! Xiaomon!" both Tai and Kara shouts out. Exhausted, the tiny digimon lay on the cliff, eyes closed. "Koromon, are you crazy? Why'd you do it?" Tai asks.
"Sorry, it's just…. I'm trying to make a good impression." said Koromon.
"Crazy guy." said Tai. Kara looks down at her digimon. "Xiaomon, you could have been really hurt." She said, hugging Xiaomon against her. The kids tend to their injured digimon.
"Oh, Yokomon." Sora says, picking up her digimon.
"Tanemon, talk to me." Mimi says to Tanemon.
"They must be programmed for courage." said Izzy, holding Motimon.
"Tokomon, what's wrong?" T.K asks.
"Hey, Tsunomon, wake up!" Matt tells him.
"Bukamon, wake up. Huh? Oh no!" said Joe, worriedly about him. Kuwagamon reappears yet again, coming towards them. "Everyone! Get back!" Matt shouts. They run towards Tai. "I was hoping we'd seen the last of him." said Sora, hoping that Kuwagamon would stop going after them. "Me too! Guess he had other plans, huh?" said Tai.
"Ugh, I knew I shoulda brought my bug spray." said Matt, realizing that he didn't have it on him. "I don't think that bug spray would work on a bug that big." replied Kara.
"Okay everybody, get ready to run!" Tai shouted, putting his arm around Kar. "No, we fight! That's right. It's the only way. Stand and fight!" said Koromon.
"Give it up, will ya?" Tai asks, not wanting the digimon to get hurt again. "No, Koromon's right. It's time that we showed what we're made of!" Motimon said, trying to get out of Izzy's arms. "No, don't!" Izzy tells him.
"They're right!" Yokomon says, trying to wiggle out of Sora's arms. "No way! It's hopeless! You're no match for him, Yokomon." Sora tells her.
"He needs to be put in his place." said Xiaomon, pulling against her arms. Tears start going down Kara's face. "No Xiaomon, I won't let you." Kara sobs.
"We can do it. Let me go, let me go, let me go, let me go, let me go!" Tsunomon says.
"We can do it, we can do it!" says Tokomon.
"Let me go, let me go, let go!" Bukamon says, flapping his wings.
"Tanemon, you too?" Mimi asks, looking down at Tanemon. Tanemon nods, then says, "Uh huh!"
"I'm sorry, Tai. Let's go!" Koromon says. The other digimon jump out of the kid's arms and head towards Kuwagamon. "Come on, digimon!" yells Koromon.
"It's useless! Yokomon!" Sora screams.
"Xiaomon! Come back!" Kara yells out.
"Don't go! Motimon!" Izzy shouts.
"No, wait! Don't do it, Tsunomon!" yelled Matt.
"Don't go!" TK says.
"Turn around! Come back, Bukamon!" Joe shouts.
"Tanemon. Be careful!" Mimi said.
"No! Don't, Koromon!" Tai says, hoping that he would come back. The eight digital gadgets begin to glow and beams of light shoot from them, hitting the digimon. "Koromon, digivolve to…Agumon!" he said, turning into a little orange dinosaur.
"Xiaomon digivolve to…Labramon!" said Labramon, turning into a dog with a white fur body, a burgundy tail and markings under her eyes.
"Yokomon, digivolve to…Biyomon!" said Biyomon, turning into a pink bird with a metal ring around her left leg.
"Motimon, digivolve to…Tentomon!" said Tentomon, turning into a small red insect.
"Tsunomon, digivolve to…Gabumon!" said Gabumon, changing into blue fur with a yellow body, and a strangely-patterned horn.
"Tokomon, digivolve to…Patamon!" said Patamon, turning onto a guinea pig with wings connected to his head.
"Bukamon, digivolve to…Gomamon!" said Gomamon, turning into a seal like creature with purple markings.
"Tanemon, digivolve to…Palmon!" Palmon shouts, turning into a green plant with a pink flower on her head. These new digimon take the place of the littler ones. "What in the- Look at them! What's happened to the little guys?" Sora asks.
"They're… bigger." Tai says
"She's even cuter than before." Kara says in awe. These new digimon leap at Kuwagamon, to attack him. He knocks them back.
"Alright, then. You asked for it!" Agumon says.
"Poison Ivy!" Palmon shouts. She extends long vines, trapping Kuwagamon.
"Boom Bubble!" Patamon says, blasting a pocket full of air towards him.
"Super Shocker!" Tentomon says and Tentomon shocks Kuwagamon with electricity. Under Kuwagamon's feet, Gomamon trips him up.
"Retriever Bark!" said Labramon, sending a hyper oscillation powerful bark towards Kuwagamon.
"Stand back, everyone! Pepper Breath!" says Agumon, firing a ball of fire at him.
"Blue Blaster!" says Gabumon, shooting blue energy at him.
"Spiral Twister!" Biyomon shouts blasts him with a green spiral. This enrages Kuwagamon. "Now, all together!" Agumon says and all of the digimon's attacks drive him back into the forest. "They made vapor-ware out of him." said Izzy, shocked that they did it.
"Amazing!" says Tai.
"Told you we could do it!" said Agumon, running towards Tai. The digimon run back to the kids.
"Koromon, or Agumon, or whoever you are! You did it, you did it, you did it!" Tai says, jumping up and down. "Labramon, you were awesome out there." Kara says, looking down at her digimon. "How about that Super Shocker? Pretty wizard, huh?" Tentomon asks. The group hear Kuwagamon's scream. Sora gasps then screams to Tai and Agumon, "Watch out!"
"Huh?" Tai says turning around. He see Kuwagamon coming towards him. He and Agumon jumps out of the way. Kuwagamon buries his pincers in the ground. "Guess we celebrated too soon!" Tai says. The crack in the ground caused by Kuwagamon's pincers expands, causing the chunk of rock that the kids and digimon are standing on to tumble into the ravine. "So, just when we made some pretty cool friends, we all take a plunge. Never to see each other again? I don't think so. But find out for yourself next time on Digimon: Digital Monsters." said Tai.
