The wind that had been so strongly blowing for hours suddenly ceased, but the young woman walking slowly past rows of marble and stone kept her arms crossed tightly across her chest, hugging herself. Without the sound of the wind howling, and the rustling of leaves as the wind blew through the trees, it was quiet. 'Dead silent.' The woman almost laughed at that thought – almost but couldn't quite manage it. And while it was warmer and quieter the silence made the cold cemetery, illuminated only by moonlight, slightly eerie. The fact that it felt spooky was unusual considering the woman in the cemetery was the queen of spooky. Though the silence did make it easier for the woman, who had come to a halt and stood completely still, to think. It had been over a year since the day of the tragic event and loss occurred but somehow it didn't make it any easier. She still missed the woman whose grave she stared at with tear filled, hazel, eyes.
She missed her every single second of every single day. The pale, dark – haired, Goth, usually took a long time to warm up to people, but not her – not to the woman whom she had gotten to know and like so much. With her it had been different for some reason. A reason she would never know because the woman who had been her best friend was gone. 'She may be dead but she'll never be forgotten' she thought as images, and memories, of the woman with light brown hair and brown eyes flooded through her head. "I miss you, Kate. You were my best friend" the young woman whispered. She sank to her knees, the chain on her black and red plaid mini skirt clinking as she did so, and her tall black leather boots scuffing the dirt. She pulled off the small knapsack she had been wearing and withdrew three black roses, which she laid out carefully in front of the grave that read 'Caitlin 'Kate' Todd, Died: May 25th 2005. A Great Agent and A Great Friend,' before taking one final look at the headstone and rising to her feet. Quietly, she said "Bye Kate, I'll be back soon" before she turned and left.
