There she sat. The picture of innocence. Her long flowing hair draped upon
her shoulders like a fiery red halo. And she was his angel.
He staggered into the room with a peculiar look about him. "Welcome Back" she greeted him, without looking up from her book. "What did DeLordy want to see you about?". He didn't reply. She looked up and saw him looking listlessly off to the side. She walked over to him and gently tilted his face towards her. Something wasn't right. "What's wrong Riff?". He turned his head away from her inquiring eyes. "You know what's wrong" he hissed. She looked at him puzzled. "What is it?". He stared at her with a sense of vengeance that she had never seen from him before. She stumbled backwards as he slowly advanced toward her. "R..Riff?" she stuttered as she fell hard onto the bed. He climbed on top of her and put a finger over her crimson lips. "Hush my angel," he said softly "now you won't betray me anymore". He placed his hands on her throat. She tried to scream but no sound would come. "Don't fight me," he said "its better this way". She stopped struggling, knowing it would be to no avail. His hands tightened on her tender neck. His nails dug in and caused several bloody spots to appear on her pale flesh. "like bitter sweet cranberries" he thought to himself. Her vision was beginning to fade and she could feel no pain anymore. In her dying breath she choked out three words. "I did nothing.". He took his hands off her neck. Her eyelids fluttered shut. And she was gone. He looked at his dear angel , lyeing there in an eternal slumber, and then down at his own hands. "Oh Magenta my angel," he whispered into the everlasting night, "What have I done?"
