This is rather short. It's more of a prologue than an actual chapter...

Did they forget about us? Did they simply not know we were here? Thoughts such as these had been swirling around in Tel'kandras' head for days. Despite being in his cell, he had heard of the joint escape of the blood elves and naga. He was happy for his people, and especially relieved that prince Kael'Thas had survived. However, a few elves had been left behind. Why, he did not know. It was of course a possibility his brethren had left him behind, though he doubted this very much, and still wished to join them once again.

"Wake up, elf!" the human named Grayth shouted at him. Tel'kandras stood up and stared into Grayth's eyes. The human flinched at the strange, glowing green eyes, and Tel'kandras smiled slightly. The cell door was opened and two humans dressed in mail armour put Tel'kandras in shackles. Glaring, Grayth whispered, "Time for your execution." Tel'kandras simply stared again, not daring to show any signs of fear.

The humans pulled him down a dark corridor by the chains of the manacles. As they walked, more blood elf captives met up with them. Tel'kandras looked upon the wounded and unconscious forms of his brethren. Did my own captors go easy on me? he thought to himself. Eventually, they were lead to an outdoor area. They stood on a wooden stage looked upon by dozens of humans. One by one, the elves were lead to their own spots on this stage. After they were all positioned, Grayth walked away as a rather short man began reading off the supposed crimes of the elves.

I must be free. I must save my friends.Ever since his capture, Tel'kandras had been siphoning magical energy off of any nearby source. He had stored this energy inside of him, and now was finally the time to release and use it. As he concentrated, the neon green magic of his people started flowing from his fingers. It washed itself over it's controllers bonds, and shattered them. Tel'kandras lashed his hand at the nearest human, and a pulse of green light sent the man flying. Two more pulses, and the would-be executioner lay dead on the ground while the elves were free. By this time, people in the audience started screaming, attempting to flee from the fury-driven blood elf. Speaking an incantation, Tel'kandras swept his hand at their fleeing forms, and a wave of roiling flames washed over them, incinerating the majority. A quick hand gesture, and green talons ripped the few human guards to shreds. Tel'kandras leaped towards the only fellow mage in the group of elves.

"Anderous? You must wake up." He shook her slightly and she stirred, moaning slightly. She lifted her head to look at him. "Tel'kandras?"

"We have to get these people out of here. I can teleport themaway but I need your help." He said urgently. A bell began to ring in the background, and he knew the military would soon be there. "Right," Anderous responded. Despite the tremendous strain, she stood up and began helping pull the unconscious elves into one area. When the two were finished, they both began reciting the same spell. Tel'kandras began wishing the incantation was shorter, as he could hear the marching of the human army. Just as Tel'kandras was saying the last word, an arrow pierced his arm and he failed to pronounce it properly. As the world began to fade as was the effect of a teleport spell, he knew very well that the spell may have gone awry.
