Stiles' leg is shaking almost out of control at this point, he looks down at his phone once again hoping that he could will Erica into responding sooner. He clicked through his phone to check once again that the message did send and isn't somehow waiting in his drafts, but nope it sent. "Oh for fucks sake." he mumbles as he watches the minuets pass by. The tapping of his pen on the notebook he's pretending to be paying any attention to was starting to get to him at this point. After what seems like hours Stiles' phone starts buzzing. The sound startling the teenager half off his bed. "Jesus!" he exclaimed, reaching over for his phone. Taking a deep breath he unlocks his phone, and yes the incoming text is from Erica. "You can do this Stiles. She's going to say 'No, you're an idiot for thinking that.' and that'll be that." exhaling once again he clicks to open the text, his eyes hollowing and his heart seeming to come to a complete stop. He reads, "yeah… why?" not even attempting to hold back the tears rolling down his cheeks he turns over, choking on failed attempts at screams into his pillow. None of this should matter, none of it. It's not like Stiles didn't know his guy-crush on Derek wouldn't go anywhere, he knew that. He sort of held onto that fact like a security blanket, somewhat forcing him to keep all of this his secret. He refuses to admit that this is more than a crush. He's reasoned that if girls can have girl-crush's then it must be normal for guys to get guy-crush's. He reached for his phone once again, to make sure he sent the right text to Erica, or to make sure he read hers right. But no. He didn't send the wrong thing, and he read what she responded with correctly. Yet he's sitting there staring at his text, hoping if he'd look at it hard enough it would turn into something else, something else to make her answer not be the painful one he received. "Isaac said you and Derek… you're a thing now?"
