Prologue
Starla Reyes, a Rio Grande High Schooler A+ Freshman student, was in the Paso Library reading about the famous volcano, Mount Etna, when the doors blew off their hinges and The Injustice League and a giant dark grey and black humanoid beetle walked in.
"On your knees everyone!" Joker cackled and everyone obliged in fear of being killed.
Well everyone except Starla.
She was not afraid of death, she welcomed it. The 14-year old just kept reading and ignored what the villains said (more like ordered). The dark grey and black humanoid beetle noticed she was still sitting and let out a slight growl.
"The female meat is not listening" he told the rest of the league and they all looked at her.
"OHHHH! NOW WE CAN HAVE SOME FUN!" The Prince of Crime exclaimed excitedly.
Wotan, an immortal Viking sorcerer, held up his hand, stopping Joker in his tracks, "Wait, this mortal radiates the same biochemical makeup as the boy who dons the Blue Scarab armor. I believe they are related."
The beetle smirked and activated one of his weapons before pointing it at her, "than she will make a great specimen for the Reach."
'The Reach huh?' Star' thought before looking at the evil league.
"I will let you do whatever you want with me as long as you let these people, or meat, go... deal?" The Hispanic female asked.
The bug smirked and let the weapon go back to being a hand/ arm and walked forward. He took Starla's' hand in his own and with a smirk he spoke.
"Deal"
