2 years ago at the Wow-O toy factory, Mystery Inc had a fight and broke up. Only Shaggy and Scooby stay together. In the present day, 7-year-old Lilo Pelekai reads an article on Mystery Incorporated's disbandment.

"-And to this day, no one knows what came of Mystery Inc." Lilo read.

"Lilo," Nani said in disbelief, "Do you really have to tell me this, "Scooby doo"?"

They saw The Mystery Machine. They ran up to it to check. Shaggy and Scooby were having lunch when Lilo knocked on the door. "Nobody home!" Scooby shouted

But they didn't fall for it. As they got outside he said, "Sorry little girl," Shaggy said, "We're retired."

"Are you, "Shaggy Rogers?"Lilo asked,

He nodded his head. After Lilo introduced her friends to him she saw a letter from Spooky Island. Shaggy read, " "Dear Norville, "Shaggy" Rogers, you are invited to Spooky Island to solve a mystery-." Nani read the rest of the note,"-You will be paid with 10,000 dollars, provided with free airfare, room and board and all you can eat. See you soon, Scrap- I mean, "Emile Mondevarious."

"All you can eat?" Scooby asked, as passed out.

Later at Lihue Airport, Fred and Velma meet after 2 years. Fred was working on his book, "Fred on Fred" and Velma was working at NASA developing hydropower missile protection. As they got up to the desk, they saw a red-haired woman with 7 carryon bags, she was Daphne. She told them that she's a black belt and she's going to solve the mystery for the first time ever.

Shaggy came in with The Pelekai's. After he introduced them to Mystery Inc, they asked where was Scooby. Scooby comes up dressed as an old woman. As he walked by he passed 7 kids. One had brown hair and glasses, another had shoulder length black hair and was psychedelic looking, one had long blonde hair and was fashionable, one was an African-American tomboy, one had a punk rock look, one had a preppy outfit and the last one was a cute looking boy with neck length brown hair.

Shaggy explained they don't allow big dogs on the plane. Velma and Daphne thought it was stupid. "Meet Grandma!" Shaggy greeted, "Okay, let's put our hands in, lift them up and say, "Woohoo"!"

Fred, Velma, and Daphne refused and left. "Sounds like they'll never get back," Lilo suggested

The flight to Spooky Island came and the guest started to board. Along with 2 mysterious figures. One had red hair and the other had to purple.

On the plane, everyone was enjoying themselves when Shaggy saw a beautiful girl with long blonde hair and she asked her to take a sit next to, "Grandma". "Grandma" left so Shaggy can get close to her because she's allergic to dogs. Then he saw her eating Scooby Snacks. She said that their 100% vegetarian. She said that her name was, "Mary Jane" which is Shaggy's favorite name.
