It's been almost a week since I moved back in my old district, man it's been nearly 6 months since I saw Katia,Anna, Katie, Gabe, AJ and the others , last time I saw them it was the last day of sixth grade, then I had to move to a completely new district. Now, my mom said me, her, and her boyfriend Bob were a going to move back to my old district. Well, things didn't start out so good. Katia got ISS for the whole week (don't ask why I'm still mad at her about it) so yeah. It was nice seeing everybody,Katie and Anna hugged me like crazy. I missed Katia tho. Bad... I know she's been bonding with Kyle but truth is I'm like in love with Kat, so it bothers me when she talks about him.
After school I took out my iPhone and plugged my earbuds in. I was wearing black and hot pink sneaker, long black bands, a red sleeping with sirens band t shirt, and my black hoodie that had a picture of wings on the back of it. I listened to "All my heart" by sleeping with sirens. I started to sing along as I walked toward the park. I knew the park had a basketball court, which made me think of when I used to shoot hoops with katia at the old school. Good times. I saw Alex , one of the girls, walking away from the direction I was going.
"Why do you look like you got beat?" I asked, scanning her. She was all sweaty , beat, and depressed looking.
"I got beat alright," she said panting," in basketball by Katia, she's practicing in the basketball court."
"She is?!" I shouted.
"Yup, she's totally a jerk for stealing Kyle,"
"Uh.." I didn't know what to say to that, like I said I'm in love with katia.
"What, do you have a crush on Kyle to?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No it's just.. umm..." I really couldn't say it, I wasn't ready to come out now.
She looked like a lightbulb went off in her head," Your a lesbian aren't you? You have a crush on Katia!"
I felt my face go red,"So what if I am, she doesn't love me back the same way,"
"Well good luck, and by the way, since your really close to Kat and I hate her, I'm telling the whole school about you," she said running off.
I felt my eyes get teary. I wasn't ready for this! I dropped my phone but caught it before it would've smashed on the ground. I ran to the park, but to hide my face from katia I pulled my hood over my head and sat on the sidewalk, listening to music. I couldn't resist but sing the lyrics softly. That's when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I ignored it. I felt them sit next to me and bump my shoulder playfully. Yup it's Katia alright. I pulled my hood off and looked at her. She was staring at me with worried eyes.
"Hi..." I silently said, looking back at the ground.
"Kyla! Why haven't you come over to play basketball with me?" She asked.
"I bumped into Alex on the way here," I softly said.
Her eyes widened,"What did she do?"
"She found out about me being a lesbian, and now she's gonna tell the whole school since I'm close friends with you," I said, feeling my eyes get teary.
"Why that little-"
"Katia you know I feel about cursing," I said interrupting her.
" I know, but i swear I'm going to get her for that, wow what a good thing to do for when I first see you again," she said the last part sarcastically.
"Yeah, well how about we shoot some hoops like old times and not worry about it for now, after all we have off Thursday and Friday," I said starting to get up.
"Yeah I need to practice anyway," she followed me.
We shot some hoops for awhile and at sunset we bid our goodbyes and went our separate ways. When I got home I was treated by my dog and cat. I've known Katia for four years by the way, and I used to think of her as a sister, but now I'm crushing on her.
Maybe tomorrow will be fun, I hope so.
