Set Late Season Five. Based on a dream I had.

Beta'd by Cofkett so blame her for any mistakes.

For all their differences, there was one thing that Bonnie and Damon agreed on: Silas had to be stopped. Fresh from his break-up with Elena, Damon had enjoyed a brief fling with Tessa, but now his mind was on more pressing matters.

Bonnie was still adjusting to being alive again. She'd been barely more than a ghost, a mere apparition of the past year. But thanks to Damon, she was now breathing, talking and walking witch once again.

Since her resurrection, they had gotten closer. They had hated each other in the past, but working and teaming up over the years had forged a friendship between the two, and while they weren't exactly best buddies, they had each others' backs - now more than ever.

They had followed Silas to a large factory downtown. Bonnie attempted to blow him up with her magic, but the force of the blast backfired, sending her and Damon clear across the large building. They rolled across the hard cement and landed with a thud, holding each other together. Bonnie was underneath Damon with her hands on his back as he clasped her shoulders.

Damon was staring down at her with a combination of concern and something else written in his ace, something that, despite her better judgement, excited her on some primal level. Deep down, she had always enjoyed his flirty, little comments., and the smouldering looks he gave her, some so intense that she found herself, to her own chagrin, occasionally fantasising about it later; the way his pupils dilated and that annoyingly attractive smirk that made her want to slap it right off his face. Watching those eyes smoulder for her now, Bonnie hoped he wouldn't try anything, because in that moment, she wasn't sure she would be able to resist if he did.

All Damon could think about was the fact that this was the one girl who'd always had his back. She had been there for him more than anyone else in the months since he'd brought her back from the grave. Damon, too, had always loved their flirty banter, the way she refused to take his or anyone else's crap. It wasn't as if he'd never been with a witch before.

He'd always enjoyed witches. But Bonnie was different. His feelings for her weren't just sexual. They ran deeper than that. Though in their current position this moment was extremely sexually charged with heat and desire. Deep down, they had both wanted this for a very long time. Damon glanced down at giving her a look that basically said, "What the Hell?" Before she could answer his non-verbal question, he kissed her.

She immediately returned his ardour. Before they knew it, they were making out. His hands moved from her back to her waist. Her own hands travelled up his chest to caress his face. Then, they heard a big bang coming from the explosion point.

"That wasn't funny!" Silas called out.

Bonnie and Damon got up, still holding each other by the arm.

"Seriously, you think a little explosion's going to kill me?" he called out again from the distance.

"Are you ok?" Damon asked her.

"I'll be fine," Bonnie replied, "I'm a Bennett witch, remember?"

Silas called out from the distance.
"Seriously, you think a little explosion's going to kill me? I'm immortal. You're going to have to do a lot better than that."

Bonnie and Damon smiled at each other as if sharing some private joke. Silas tried to follow them, but was stopped by Bonnie's spell to trap him in side; preventing Silas from ever leaving.
