'ello, luvs. It's been a while. This, this is old. It was brought on by listening to Placebo and the Medic Droid for hours on end until this happened. And it's about time I've posted it.

It was only Demyx. Demyx who wore drag to every concert and had always had trouble getting his shoes off in a hurry. It was Demyx who never argued about slipping off his stilettos and a quick romp in the backseat of Axel's TransAm. Most times he ignores the cuts and bruises, but there are times when he wonders when the boy who is mewling trembling underneath him stopped playing tragic and started living it. The boy draws on him with red and blue and black Sharpies, hearts and stars and forever, but Axel washes his hands without thinking about them. And the musician writes lyrics and leaves them on Axel's jeans but his clothes are off and the words steam away before they become permenant. Because Axel wasn't mean to be beautiful, and he knows Demyx wasn't meant to be his. No matter how bad the nocturne wants to be. Axel belongs to Roxas, that fifteen-year-old apathtic that lives down the street. Demyx can change his height and his voice, but he can't change that. That's why it hurts. It hurts everytime he says "I love you." and the pyro says it back automatically. And he crys. He cries, because he can't believe the words, however beautiful they are. Because Axel's lies have always been more beautiful than the truth ever could be. Some nights the both of them wonder why they come so easily- when Demyx is strapping on his shoes and fighting back tears and Axel's lighting a cigarette.
Only this time, Axel's said it first and they don't make it to the backseat. Axel reads the words that are upside down on his abdomen and cries as Demyx breaks the heel of his stiletto when he steps out onto the curb. Because Axel can't stand to see the other trust him so he let's Demyx sever the bonds and he let's him go. He's sure he'll never see the boy outside of his dreams again, maybe.
