Join Me in New York

The Hustle and Bustle of New York life, or even just being in the metropolis for a day was something you could never quite describe without either getting this glow in your eyes and looking up as if God would grant you the words of the euphoric experience or bursting out into tragic tears for your inner desire to return to the magical land where dreams seemed palpable, your troubles seemed small and you yourself were so insignificant that you didn't care about that fact because there was so much potential in the world that you could one day be something despite your current stance at the bottom of the social pyramid that no one in particular created in that wondrous city but everyone seemed to abide by before that one person came into your life and completely tore away any possible notion of following the standard to fulfill a long and happy life because that life did not include the person you truly love, the person who you will always love, and the person who's love was the driving force behind everything in life that you did because you just wanted to impress her, to make her feel that you were worthy and to make sure that the ring you put on her finger that one day in New York City, surrounded by the Bustle and the Hustle, would remain on that digit until the day death do you part, as you swore in that tiny little church only a few streets away from the cozy apartment you moved into with her when you told her you did love her and you did want her to join you in New York but most of all that you didn't think you could survive without that person filling that seat on the couch next to you on those cold winter nights in the magical city because loneliness would consume you otherwise but not anytime soon because Quinn Fabray agreed to join you in New York.

"I love New York," you murmur into Quinn's neck, her holding you close because you didn't account for the cold weather once the sun set. The thin jacket you wore would suffice slightly, but not for long without the excess warmth of your lover. Only a few people glanced – they mostly were cooing among their parties, finding you two adorable. And you were.

And you, Quinn, held her close despite your fears, despite the eight million people you were liable to run into walking through the streets of New York. You loved her more than yourself at that moment – that's caring. Rachel wanted to see the beautiful tree and all the other decorations that New York wore during this wonderful time and you would make sure she saw them, especially it being the day before Christmas Eve. You didn't care how tight or how compact it was. You two were going to live it up in that town before you had to return home to Lima to see your parents.

And you two couldn't be happier. You couldn't have enjoyed life more than in that moment. Tears filled both your eyes as you whisper to each other in the same moment 'I love you', and knowing you were soul mates, you allowed yourself to stare up at the tree and not get upset that you left the camera on the dining table at home.
