Story Inspiration:Runaway by Avril Lavigne (My favourite song of hers, it's so catchy and addictive to me) and this stupid writer's block which I REALLY want to kill.
Disclaimer: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE NOW? I-I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU! SOMETHIN SOMETHIN NANANANANANANANA MATMAN.

Forget

He unbound his hair, letting the raven locks flow gently down his back, and he glanced over, watching as his friend, his brother, rid of his hairstyle and let the crimson strands fall as well, bringing it to land gently at his shoulders. They joined hands, smiled glistening smiles to one another and brought their gazes back to the setting sun, washes of reds, pinks, oranges and yellows blending together, soon to fade into the darkened night.
"We've already run."
"We're gonna fly."
"We're gonna fall."
"We're going to be free."
"We're going to forget."
The duo continued to smile, their eyes flickering in a candles heat of happiness, of freedom, of uncaringness. All that mattered to them was this last fall, their last act on stage, their final chance to regain the lost feathers for their broken wings. Their friends they knew would worry, knew would be said. They didn't care. They'd watch over them all. They'd make sure they knew that they fell in happiness, in brotherhood, in amity. They'd make sure, but they would forget.
Two tears, one falling down both of the boys cheeks. They still smiled. They still had the aforementioned emotions in their eyes, in their hearts, in their souls. Turning around, their fingers were still linked and they counted their way backwards to the ledge where they'd fall and forget. Stopping, they waited for the distant voices calling their names to grow louder, waited for their shadowed figures to come out in colour and flesh. The large shadows molded into people, a variety of colours panting and near to tears. One reached out, trying to touch those at the edge.
"Please don't..."
"We want our wings."
"But you have them..."
"We want to forget."
"..."
"We want to be free."
"But..you are..."
"We want these chains to loosen."
"..."
"We want you to remember..."
"Remember what?"
"That we flew away."
The two closed their eyes, smiles still locked in place as they took one more step backwards and willingly fell backwards. Their hands remained entwined with the other's, their minds emptying into blank. Yet one thing they wouldn't forget were the two birds who brushed up against them, spreading their wings.
