Make Believe
Leah was fourteen when she started wearing make up. It made her feel older, more important. It made her feel like someone she wasn't.
A bit of blush, and she was the most popular girl in school.
Some eyeliner and mascara, and she was a super model.
A little lipstick, and she was queen of the world.
Leah was never herself while wearing make up, she knew that. But sometimes you didn't want to be yourself. Sometimes it was easier to be someone you weren't.
Yes, the best part of wearing make up was being someone you weren't.
Maybe that's why Leah wore even more make up after Sam left.
So why did Leah still feel like herself?
