The beloved Avatar Aang is gone, and a new Avatar has risen to replace him. Enter Korra, a bitchy, whiny, rebellious tomboy who has had her ass kissed so much that it's the only white part of her body, and who has rejected the humble passiveness of her predecessor in favor of becoming a cross between Sakura Haruno and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
When this bratty teen pulls a every-teenager-in-everything-ever and runs away from home in order to see the world, she will discover a brand new world full of innovation and wonder… none of which you'll be able to see since you'll spend the whole season wallowing in a filthy shithole of a city.
Joining her on her journey to learn social skills and the value of the monetary system are Mako and Bolin, two brothers on opposite extremes of the personality spectrum; and Asami, a generic pretty rich girl with all the personality of Patrick The Starfish.
Together, they will protect New York… I mean Chicago…. I mean Detroit… I mean San Francisco…. from Amon, an emotionally damaged shitbag in a mask who wants to bring down the benders and elevate the plebs… but not before they spend half the season playing sports and establishing love triangles that will contribute nothing to the series as a whole.
So experience the first serving of the next stage of the Avatar franchise, that tried to be bold and edgy by turning all the classic elements of The Last Airbender on their heads, because somehow doing the exact opposite of what made you successful is considered completely logical.
