Lucas had just woken. He appeared to be in a zoo of some sort, but without the animals and the colors and other stuff. It actually had nothing in it. Good, He thought. Nobody here to try and kill me.
Lucas had just been in a series of very confusing events. He had just witness his only brother die, just like his mother. Then Lucas had awoken the Dark Dragon of his land by pulling the final "needle" as he and his friends called it out of the dragon's body. He only remembered seeing white, and possibly hearing the sound of a volcano erupting.
But where was he? Surely far away from home, Lucas thought. Surely far away from my friends, Kumatora and Duster, and far away from the only family I have left, Dad and my dog, Boney.
He decided to walk and observe his surroundings. Nothing living was there, obviously. Lucas had walked a while and kicked a can when he stopped, pondering about his friends and family, how they're probably gone forever, and how he might never see anyone that cared for him again.
Suddenly, he saw something. A very dark something. Then there were more. The little tiny dots came together to form a creature of some sort. It looked hostile.
Then there were more. More and more sprouted up from these darkish pellets. Lucas was scared. Very scared. If he was going to die, then so be it.
Then he heard something that sounded a lot like a giant foot. Lucas didn't dare want to turn around, but he had to so that he could see what he should do next.
It was a giant statue of a boy with a crown on his head. It had a slingshot in one hand, and a notebook in the other. It looked a lot like the statue he defeated back in his world.
Impossible. I thought Duster burst the thing into pieces, thought Lucas. He started to run. The giant thing came after him.
After awhile Lucas got tired. He didn't need to anyway, because he tripped and fell under a branch. His leg was stuck. The statue thing wasn't stopping. This is the end, thought Lucas. Goodbye cruel world…
But his death never came.
