A/N I received a request for a poem on Donna and her tragic forgetting. After many frustrating attempts, I wrote this: a poem, yes, but written as a letter from the Doctor to Donna as he recalls all they went through, but can never read his sorrowful words.

Dear Donna,

We had good times, eh, mate?

So many things together we've seen:

Walking fat, Pompeii's fate

Giant wasps and spider fiends

-o0o-

We made the universe a better place;

Stopped wars and freed the slaves

Put a smile on Martha's face

Solved the mystery of a computer's 'saves'

-o0o-

We've battled carnivorous shadows

We watched the Earth be formed

Oh! I lost track! I don't know

Of how many new things you've been informed!

-o0o-

But now, let me tell you this:

You are the most important woman known!

More than a simple temp (though you are a whizz!)

All life to you is owed!

-o0o-

You saved all that was, is and could be

But you paid an awful price;

You forgot all about me

And our adventures as your sacrifice

-o0o-

Your life had changed

You'd become someone new

But with your memory caged

That identity has been ripped away from you!

-o0o-

You wanted to go on traveling

To the very ends of time

But now, you'll simply go on living

And I'm alone without that sassy mate of mine!

-o0o-

Always, I'll remember you

Never, will I forget you

Always, I will cherish you

And all of your days watch over you!

The Doctor

A/N: Don't forget to review! Thank you! And remember: I love suggestions!
