In the territories of many animals, known as the Forestlands, they are ruled by a clan of warrior cats. And at the head of the clan is the one who is known as the leader.
Once long before, the clan consisted of pure blooded warriors. But after their Twolegs had abandoned them, the kittypets had no one. But an ancient leader of the clan took pity on them and allowed the kittypets to join them.
And when a kittypet becomes their leader, his mixed blooded son is destined to become the rightful ruler of the clan. But when the old leader dies, the prince flees from guilt. And it will take him a life time to learn how he fits in the Great Circle of Life.

Midnight sits in her cave while placing her paw into a bowl of paint. Delilah and Fireheart walk about the Forestlands as she teaches him. Tigerclaw sits on a high ledge and sings while watching a growing army of dogs. Fireheart, Mickey and Tod walk across a log and swing their heads to a special beat. Fireheart and Sandstorm buttheads together after being separated for so long.
