Danny Trip walked into her office on a mission. The show was done for the night and he wasn't going to be at the wrap party, He needed to get to Jordan. She was on the phone and looked up at him, surprised by his appearance.
He had packed her a bag for the weekend and wasn't taking 'no' for an answer. She may be his boss, but that role ended with the show.
"Okay, Karl, send me the specs and…" Jordan started and then nodded before saying goodbye and hanging up the phone.
"What are you doing here?" Jordan asked.
"Kidnapping you," Danny said as he walked around her desk and took her hand in his.
"I'm sorry?"
"We're doing to Hawaii for the weekend," Danny said as he picked up her bag and ushered her from the room.
"Rebecca…"
"Is meeting us at the airport with Agnes," Danny smiled at her. She stopped walked and just looked up at him annoyed.
"I have a meeting with the head of…"
"Cancelled," Danny said.
"Cancelled?" Jordan asked, annoyed.
"He agreed to meet with you Monday at 10am instead," Danny offered. "Kenny worked out all of the details."
"Danny, I can't just pick up and…"
"Do you want to marry me?" Danny asked her as he held her by the shoulders.
"Of course, I do," Jordan smiled at him. "I told you we could just go to a chapel or Vegas or…"
"I've flown your family in from Virginia," Danny said. "They are already in Hawaii. Matt and Harry are getting a flight tomorrow morning and you and me and Rebecca and Agnes are getting on a flight an hour from now."
"Are you crazy?"
"Just a little bit," Danny smirked.
"My parents are in Hawaii?" Jordan asked.
"As of yesterday," Danny said. "And your brother's family."
"All of them?" Jordan asked, shocked.
"My mother and my sister and her two kids as well," Danny said as he ushered her from her office.
"So, there are people in Hawaii waiting for us to get married?" Jordan asked.
"Yeah," Danny said. "Rebecca is five months old and we need to do this before we don't."
"You think we won't get married?" Jordan asked surprised as they stepped into the elevator.
"Not in the way you think," Danny whispered.
"In what way then?" Jordan asked, annoyed.
"I just think months of living together and raising Becky turn into years and then we'll think, why bother?"
"We will, will we?" Jordan asked with a smirk.
"I want to lock this down before we get complacent," Danny chuckled.
"You think I'm going somewhere?" Jordan quipped.
"No, why, are you?" Danny asked, suddenly worried.
"God, no," Jordan laughed.
The doors opened and they walked through the lobby and toward his SUV.
"We're really doing this?" Jordan asked, a smile on her face.
"We are," Danny said as he opened her door and then shut it behind her.
He walked around to the driver's set and got in, putting the car in motion.
Jordan looked into the back seat and saw her weekend bag.
"What did you pack for me?" She asked.
"Not much," Danny quipped.
"Seriously Danny," Jordan said. "Are we going to have to stop at the house to get…?"
"I packed your makeup bag, your toiletries, that cream you like for your face, the one you like for your body, and the different one you like for your hands," Danny said as he navigated traffic. "I packed your bathing suit and sarong, a couple of dresses you wear all the time, some sandals, some panties and bras and one skimpy nightgown."
"That's a pretty good list," Jordan nodded.
"Anything I forgot we can buy at the resort," Danny said as he looked at her and smiled.
"I don't have a wedding dress," Jordan admitted.
"They have boutiques, you can get something there," Danny offered. "It's Maui, not the Amazon."
"You did all this?"
"I did," Danny smirked at her.
"When?" Jordan asked as she reached across and took his hand.
"The last couple of weeks," Danny said.
"Really?" Jordan asked, surprised.
"I just wanted you to have a wedding in a nice place, with your family and mine around," Danny said. "Not some quick chapel thing or a night in Vegas."
"Thank you," Jordan smiled at him. He could feel her finger stroking the back of his hand rhythmically.
"And Agnes is coming?"
"I got a suite," Danny said. "She and Becky are in one room and you and I the other. That way she's close but, taken care of."
"You thought of everything," Jordan smiled at him. "But I don't have a ring for you!"
"We'll get it there," Danny said as he pulled onto the highway.
"You are just full of surprises, aren't you Danny boy?"
"Always," Danny smiled back at her.
They sat in silence for a few minutes while he drove them toward the airport.
"We're getting married in Hawaii," Jordan smiled as she looked out the window.
"We are," Danny smirked.
"Couldn't have planned it better myself," Jordan said as he leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.
