Dawns First Day

Well today's the day I meet my teachers, I am starting at my new school. Fun fun.

Mr... Excuse me PROFESSOR Dumbledore (or good ole' DumbleD) came to me on my 16th birthday saying I was 'very powerful but my magic had yet to be tapped into'.

WOW! Really, I had no freaking idea I was a magical thing (yes sarcasm is my close friend)

Anyhoo, DumbleD talked with Buffy and now I'm here… In England. In a beautiful castle, Filled with adults, no one my age for another 2 weeks.

This BITES!

Ok so after walking into the, get this, Great Hall and staring at the ceiling for about 3 minutes I was introduced to the staff.

First I met Professor McGonagall; she teaches Trans…something all I know is she turned a fork into a daisy and back. She seemed to me like a grandmother figure, nice but strict and could kick your patoot if needed.

Professor Flitwick was…well…adorable. He was so enthusiastic about helping me 'find my magic' he looked like an excited little puppy. I truly thought he was going to wet himself.

Then I met Trelawney. What a nut. She started going on about how she had a vision that someone new would be join for dinner. I heard McGonagall whisper to Flitwick 'of course the weekly newsletter had nothing to do with it".

I then turned to my left and found a man who may have caused Spike to back down. This guy was GINOMOUS. He introduced himself as Rubeus Hagrid, Care of Magical Creatures teacher and Keeper of the Keys at Hogwarts. Hearing this I looked at DumbleD who just smirked and had that stupid twinkle in his eye I had come so used to. Over all I found Hagrid to be an oversize teddy bear.

Moving down the line I met Professors Sinistra, Vector, Binns(way creepy ghost dude), and Madame Hooch, who has the coolest eyes I'd ever seen.

I then came to a man in patched cloths with blonde-brown-grayish hair and the saddest eyes I had ever seen; and I've seen a lot of sad.

Not able to help myself I hugged him. He was tense from surprise but soon relaxed. As I pulled back he looked at me questioningly.

"You looked like you needed a hug" I said and shrugged

"Thank you" he replied and introduced himself as Remus Lupin, Defense against the Dark Arts teacher.

The last man I came to stood taller than me wearing black robes, with black hair and a smug look on his face.

"I am Professor Snape; I teach Potions and am head of Slytherin House."

I just kind of looked at him as he gave a 'fear-me-I'm-evil' look, and I just started laughing; I couldn't help myself. I looked up and saw a confused look on his face.

I heard some of the professors laughing and others stood shocked.

"Well Severus it seems we have finally found a student not intimidated by you" Flitwick said though his giggles.

I glanced up again to fins Snape glaring at me , so I sobered myself up.

"I'm sorry professor. It's just that I don't find you scary. I know vampires, demons and a Liberian that are al much scarier than you."

"Indeed" he replied looking down his nose at me "headmaster if that is all I have a potion I need to tend to"

"Yes, go on severus"

Glaring at me one more time Snape stalked out of the hall with his cloak bellowing behind him. As soon as he turned the corner I fell to the floor, clutching my sides as I laughed.
