Set in Metropolis Superman has been exposed to red Kryptonite which makes him go insane. All the other superheroes are busy so it is up to The Flash to stop Superman. But can he do it?
It all starts when Superman is fighting his arch enemy {Lex Luthor}. Instead of showing Superman green Kryptonite {which makes him temporilary lose his powers} he shows him red. He goes so insane he kills Lex Luthor by throwing him off a building.
The Justice League figures they must contain Superman for the 24 hour duration effect of the Kryptonite. But the crime is so bad in America all the superheroes have been dispatched, the only available hero is The Flash a superhero that can run extremely fast {can break the sound barrier by running.} Although hesitant at first he takes up the task knowing he is the only superhero who can now save the world. He sets off from his city to get to Metropolis as quickly as he can. When he arrives he sees people running for their lives. Then he hears a sound. He runs out of the way just in time before a car slams in to him.
Then he turns around to see an insane Superman staring at him. He tries to talk to Superman but narrowly avoids getting lasered by Superman. Flash knew he couldn't kill or hurt Superman because he has no Kryptonite so he resorts to his plan B. Before he could figure out a plan Superman hit the ground so hard Flash was sent into a damaged bus by the impact. As Superman was about to hit again Flash ran around the huge hole and speared Superman at nearly Mach 1. They flew all the way from the centre of the city to near the coastal area. Superman was the first to get up. It had taking both men about 23 hours to get up after hitting the ground at that speed. When Flash woke up Superman was nowhere to be seen. Unbeknownst to him Superman was busy recharging by the Sun. When Superman came down he flew so fast Flash could see him from the ground. Flash readied himself for the impact. Then BOOM! Superman hit the ground. The Flash was down but would he be out. Superman left thinking he had killed Flash. Luckily Flash was still kicking. Flash got up after half an hour and ran to find Superman. He found Superman waiting next to a wrecked car. Superman picked up the car and threw it but Flash spun into a tornado and sent it flying back at Superman. Superman got so angry he flew so fast at flash that Flash could not start to run. He threw Flash onto the ground and started punching him hard.
Luckily the effects of the Kryptonite wore off before Superman could kill Flash. Flash was rushed off to the Watch Tower for medical attention, luckily he survived but had to rely on Kid Flash to do his work until he fully recovered.
