Smiles and Sacrifices

Watanuki stared wide-eyed; the sight in front of him was too much to bear. He saw blood everywhere, he found his voice and he cried.,

"D-DOUMEKI!!!"

He ran towards the said archer as the murderous monster that perished the archer started to die out. He held Doumeki in his arms as big drops of tears started to fall off those beautiful bicolored eyes. He cried while caressing the archer's face.,

"d-don't, please don't d-die, I need you."

His voice cracking he can't control his emotions of sorrow, fear, and pain. He knew he needed Doumeki, not just for the exorcism he thought more of that, Doumeki became one of his treasures in life. He was looking at the archer's face, stained with red liquid. Doumeki felt the bespectacled boy's tears, he raised his hand towards the boy to touch his face. Cold hands touched warm skin, wiping off the tears that were overflowing.,

"please don't cry, seeing such a face with so much sorrow, is more painful than my condition."

Watanuki was sobbing, his breathing became uneven, he held Doumeki's hand as tightly as he could, Doumeki smiled a little.,

"do you.," he started. "wanna know what I love about you?"

Watanuki looked at him.,

"what I love the most, is your warm smile, so please., will you smile for me?"

Watanuki held back his tears, he gave the archer the warmest smile he can make, Doumeki chuckled.

"can you do me a favor?"

"y-yes?"

"never lose that smile, I believe that your smile, can bring happiness to the people around you. I know it did for me"

Watanuki hugged the said archer and said,

"I love you, Shizuka"

Doumeki took his last breath and said.,

"I love you too, Kimihiro"
